NBA Finals

this is the best basketball i have seen in a long time…origin, league etc has nothing on what we are witnessing today.

that was monumental ..the passion and level of dedication man….mad respect. That's sport.

Down 3-1 and they came back and won...hated LBJ but credit where it's due.

go the cavs!!

miami fan but wish lbj nothing but rings

Cmon mate sounds like you got caught up a bit in the emotion. Basketball will never be as good of a spectacle as a top-notch game of Origin. League players could do some pretty spectacular things if they had no-one actually tackling them or stopping them in defence. Basketball is skillful but really every game is just a glorified training run…run up to your basket unopposed-score....the opposition runs up to their basket unopposed and score. Repeat. You get the drift.

and league is players hitting up and kicking then hitting up and kicking until someone scores. you get the drift.

A game 7 in the NBA finals easily beats state of origin these days

Geez talk about a debbie downer. Sure, not every NBA game is exciting but this series and particularly this game was. It was highly competitive and altogether inspiring.

FYI the NBA finals and conference finals have been a better contest in recent years (athletically, competitively and sports narrative-wise) than just about any recent origin series (bar when we won :slight_smile🙂.

Origin (and League in general) is much more enjoyable for me. But as far as spectacle goes, you cannot seriously compare any Australian event to American. They do it much better and much grander.

Fade, you can't rationalize any sport down to its bare bones…if you're gonna do that then they all seem pretty dumb. But if you are open minded then sometimes even if you don't like a sport you might be able to appreciate when amazing happens

I love Baseketball, I think these guys are especially good, (except Squeak, he's a little [This word has been automatically removed]🙂

The big difference being that in league you get physically smashed before you earn the right to score, basketball may as well have traffic cones laid out on the court as defenders. As I said basketball is skillful but it is much easier to showcase skill and look effortless when there is no threat or physical pain IMO.
Glad Cleveland won anyhow, Curry is a bit of a flog these days and he got put in his place. The city of Cleveland finally have one of their teams win a championship- don't think the Browns are ever gonna deliver one in the NFL.

Well, Draymond Green gets paid 40,000 USD per quarter for running up and down a basketball court. Thats 12 mins of running for $40,000\. Not bad.

It's such a skillfull game, these guys wake up at 5am train and train and train.

Nothing beats a game 7 in an NBA finals. Cavs were down 3-1 too…wow.

I love league but recently it's been really dry...I fell asleep watching origin.

Congratulations to Bogut, Delly, Patty Mills for all winning rings in the last 3 years.

+ Exum, Simmons, Baitstow; Joe Ingles; Thon Maker Future looks bright
