IS IT THE SPLIT BETWEEN BALMAIN AND WESTS CAUSING ALL OUR PROBLEMS, NOT JUST NOW BUT FOR THE PAST 15 YEARS,ON AND OFF THE FIELD.
IT HAS BEEN LONG ENOUGH, I CAN NOW LET GO OF THE BALMAIN TIGERS.
SHOULD WE START A BRAND NEW CLUB WITH NO TIES TO THE PAST. NEW BOARD,NEW COLOURS NEW NAME. JUST KEEP THE SAME AREA AND JUNIORS. ARE WE FLOGGING A DEAD HORSE ?

I DON'T KNOW MATE, BUT YOU'VE DEFINITELY GOTTEN YOUR POINT ACROSS MUCH MORE EFFECTIVELY TYPING IN CAPS.

The idea's great in theory and in a perfect world it would be the way to go. Not going to happen unfortunately

Should merge with parra

Western tiger eels!

Think of the great logo!

Mergers are too painful to even think about another one ….... some on here still can't accept it after all this time.

All we need is the right people in the right positions ........ in the 15 years to now, that hasnt been the case hence the ongoing problems. How Balmain appointed Di Geronimo and how Magpies appointed Bailey ..... I just dont know.

Bailey has been a Ashfield and Magpies man for 40 years.

Di Girolamo wasn't even a Balmain member and was brought in to represent Balmain at WT level.

They are just the recent chair of the board. Not the only members of the Board.

i'll go with PERTH WILDCATS…..........

We could merge with Penrith and become the Western Sydney Wildcats!
Imagine the junior catchment, Penrith, Campbelltown and Balmain!

Maybe some of you younger people can give up and support a brand new club but this old fella can't.

I enjoy the JV with the Magpies because of our long histories but mainly because my team is not extinct from the top level like many clubs before it (Newtown, Norths, etc) we're just not stand alone anymore.

I come from the Illawarra originally and have thought many times - can I support St George Illawarra if the Wests Tigers fall over? Each time the answer is NO. Although I do kind of like that bloody Iron Man jersey!

I'm with you cq - as an old Balmain Tiger, I could only support the Wests Tigers. Another club? Forget it. You'd lose me entirely.
However, I am really optimistic, that once the new Board is in place, then hopefully we'll see the whole club moving in the one direction - that is, in the direction that is best for Wests Tigers as a single entity.
Personally, I'd like to see in the longer term, a Board that is elected by the members of the Wests Tigers club. Anyway, time will tell.

Yeah thats the only reason I retain some passion for football the feeling that Wests for me retain a link to the WT.

Thats why reps on any board must contain members of the parent clubs permanently aftrr all the millions invested and our moral investment.

Yeti, I have hope in our future, long term. We just need to sort out the Balmain Leagues Club issue. This has been the weight around our neck. It doesn't have to be on the old site but the current situation is a nonsense.
