New coach.. Who should we target?

I also believe Ivan is a man of principle and honour and I doubt he would go back to Penriff however we have Justin Pascoes email address which I believe is <jpascoe@weststigers.com.au>(someone please confirm)
We should email and tell him and the board to pull their collective fingers out and extend ICs contract for another 3 years taking it out to 2023 IC has started something special at Wests Tigers and he should stay around where he virtually has full control (what would he have a Penriff Gus looking over his shoulder) and see it through to the end.

Damage could already have been done.

If he seeks a release and it’s knocked back, Cleary has lost face with:
- Board
- Pascoe
- fans
- players
- coaching staff
- ex players

Performance will drop, recruitment will be harder (if that’s possible), memberships will fall, game attendances will fall.

Even if he is made to stay IF IF IF he has been in negotiations and has sought a release he will never be looked at the same again.

This is a disgusting thread how can anyone say Ivan Cleary will leave and question his loyalty to the club and people already looking for a new coach
 
If Ivan did go crawling back to Gould after Gould discarded him like a dirty pair of jocks it would expose Ivan as being a pretty weak character with little spine or pride IMO.
Would be surprised if it happened, for this reason.

Why should WT management get all jittery and bow and scrape to Ivan because of rumours made up by pinhead scum such as James "I'm a try hard no-mate" Hooper?
If Ivan wants to walk let him walk, if he wants to stay I'm sure he will. He really hasn't proven all that much in his time here yet, we have still copped thrashings, not performed in crucial games etc etc.
Would like him to stay but would be embarrassed if the club kowtowed to him just so he doesn't pack up his bat n ball.
The club is bigger than any individual, coach included.
Cmon Ivan, "be the coach that players want to play under".
 
I would like the bus driver to continue driving our bus on this journey, not a good idea to talk of a change of drivers while the bus is moving forward.
 
If Ivan was fully committed to WT you would think he would call a press conference to catagorically deny that he is interested in the Penrith gig. I'm sure his manager is telling him to sit tight and shut up in the hope that WT management will offer some outlandish money and a 10 year deal in order to stave of Penrith and also other clubs on the sniff.
 
Yep, if i was IC i would be rubbing my hands together as I am sure WT will try to match any monetary offer from the penny's

I said it seems hes gone…its just a discussion, however, after this news comes out yesterday...Ivan informs our board on Monday night hes been talking to Penrith two weeks ago

At this stage it is pure speculation that he is leaving but some people cant wait to leap in and attack Ivans integrity.At this stage he is WT coach until the end 2020 that is what i mean by "putting the knife in".To me it would seem very out of character for him to leave
