This is a disgusting thread how can anyone say Ivan Cleary will leave and question his loyalty to the club and people already looking for a new coach

x2 some people put the knife into the back far too quickly

Oh fair dinkum, grow the hell up

Whos sticking a knife in?

I said it seems hes gone…its just a discussion, however, after this news comes out yesterday...Ivan informs our board on Monday night hes been talking to Penrith two weeks ago

Thats a subtlety you dont seem to give other people. Why should they give it to you?

Unfortunately most the names getting thrown around in the media are all assistant coaches…

If he IC is leaving I hope he has a car crash. I don’t want him or anyone to get injured, I just want to see something bad happen to him.

You’re a jerk Ivan.

The only other 2 Ivan’s i know of are knobs as well - Henjak and Milat.

If you stay then forget this post 😃

Haha love it!

It’s pretty obvious what has transpired is that Ivan has been informally advised by Nathan that the Tigers is not where he wants to play.
This now puts pressure on Ivan and gives Gould a leg up in the situation. Ivan may have done everything possible to lure Nathan here but he may be just too Gen Z and just wants to play / stay with his mates.
So what’s Ivan to do.
If Nathan’s next contract is 5 years plus we’llt that’s almost 7 years until he can coach his son.
Chances are what has agreed to at this stage is Ivan coaching the Panthers from 2021 what is happening now is possibly trying every angle to expedite that to next year.

I think he is just using this opportunity as a bargaining chip, what a perfect time to get an extension on his contract and the Tigers should match whatever Penrith offering so they can secure both Ivan and Nathan for the future.
I can't see Ivan leaving putting his reputation and integrity on the line like that. Money does talk but a bad reputation is like broken glass can never be put back together. Who really knows so many different rumours, hopefully sorted sooner rather than later.

Tim Sheens
Mick Potter
And Jayson Taylor

Its a season to fire and re-hire

If i was IC i'd tell Gus to stick it where the sun dont shine

Taylor is a wimp.
Potter is an apprentice.
Tim Sheens, lost his mind.

Potter was ok but as Meatloaf used to sing "2 out of 3 aint bad"

Don’t really care.If this happens I’m done with Rugby Leauge. One can only give so much. I’m not upset with Cleary but the NRL has just turned to crap.

If Ivan does leave then Maguire or Demetriou are my choices

Eddie Maguire and Andrew Demetriou from AFL? Who is Demetriou that you refer to?

Jason Demetriou current Broncos assistant coach,
Keighley Cougars 2011-2012
Northern Pride 2013-2014
Cowboys assistant coach for one season ( I think maybe two)
Iiiawarra cutters nsw cup a few years back. A bit like Anthony Seibold IMO,

Demetriou is the coach that the Bronco's players want instead of Bennett.

It just dawned on me, we bring in Gould as the new coach, he will make a power play for both Clearys and then we sack him. So simple.
