New coach.. Who should we target?

yes it is what it is.
But he can coach and my preference would be that he stays.

20 year plan?
Ambitious eh

tongue in cheek.
if the wests tigers came out and said it some fans would lap it up. after all no other club has ever said a salary cap problem will take 3 years to solve…but we did and the fans accepted it.

Not only that, the salary cap issues were sorted and we had a clean slate to revamp the squad, and when they failed, supporters just shrugged their shoulders.

Just a small question about Bennett's success at the Bronks.
He had nearly a full squad of SOO and Australian players at his beck and call and still managed only 6 titles with them.
I think Happy could have managed that many, with the players he had.

No way I would have signed Milford or Bird mate for starters and wouldn't have let Arrow go

The only thing stopping Arrow was his lack of minutes at Brisbane

Milford was brilliant at fullback for the Raiders when he was signed by the Broncos. He looked the best young talent in the game at the time. There was nothing wrong with signing him, but playing him at 5/8 was not a great idea… Bird was a dud signing no doubt and probably part of what cost them Arrow.

Bennett said from Day 1 he wanted him as a 6 , was never going to replace Darius , was he ??

Three year deal from next year for unca Wayne according to Gerard Condon on talkin sport… Mentioned TPJnr being close to him & un signed also

Agree, if the whole Griffen/Gus/Cleary thing didn't happen but it did, so I think you understand why people have reacted the way they did - yeah?

Do you think you could have won more than 6 with the squad he had?

Why would you want him to stay if he doesn't want to?
It's clear that he wants to go.
He won't be recruiting for us. He is already thinking about the roster to build around his son.
If he is here for 2019 I won't be watching.

That's excellent.
Wayne will attract all the talent.
I'm really excited if this is true. Like winning lotto.

i think u are taking a very strange view with us supporters, why the hell would we be happy with a bloke who got every one on board with " GET ON THE BUS " AND THE 1ST CHANCE HE GETS HE WANTS TO JUMP OF THE BUS. i just dont see the value of having him here for two years when his heart is at penrith and his so beloved son. we need players coming knowing that who signs them will be here for the long run. no one is saying hes a bad coach, i think many have just loss respect for the man.

This is starting to look like this has water. Feels surreal. Make no mistake, it would be our biggest signing in our history. Despite how bad he was at Newcastle, he still got them to a prelim one year. Bring him on, and bring a few Broncos as well.

As a person - Yes
As a coach - No

Hard to tell BT , lots of signing Wayne has made I wouldn't , me and Darius wouldn't be bum buddies , lots of hi jinx at training with Alf and I

But I believe in his methods , he loves defence and builds his teams around defence , I'm 1000% with this , how often in the modern game the Top clubs defensively make GF's

Looks like this may have some legs to the earlier reports. Be our biggest signing if we get Wayne as coach.

Good news if true and efficient work from whomever has organised this contract.

Happy mentioned Jai Arrow but in view of the current crop of young Bronco forwards, you can't blame Bennett for allowing him to the Titans.

Well said mAte. It’s pretty simple for the majority of people to get why they are turned off Cleary. I was a supporter, but definitely got turned off once I found out he was meeting with our competitor and didn’t want to be here.

Yep this has legs, there was conversation about it at the Member's area at the Grand Final but i didn't want to believe it .
Ivan won't be here next year.
