New jerseys confirmed, Harry is back!

If you compare the design style of the jerseys to our logo, it kind of works together. It may be a bit too complicated, but as a whole, with our current branding, it works.

I wouldn't care if they went out there wearing clown outfits. Its the footy i watch not the jersey.
I rekon they are okay anyway

I think the jerseys looked awesome. They are very Wests Tigers.

Kul - i believe ours suit our team as we are only 11 or so years old. We dont have the history of all the retro designs you mention.

We have over 200 years of history

Still haven't worn the white strip yet (well… when I've gone to the games) but now I'm pretty sold on the main. It looks good and that V is growing on me.

So do you guys want to follow the 'Wests Tigers' or 'Wests (&) Tigers'. All this talk about 'we are WT and not Balmain or Magpies' and how we should let go of the old clubs, then when convenient, we drag out the 200 years of heritage. We have 11 years of heritage. These jerseys truly look nothing like the old balmain and magpies jerseys, I for one am loving them, and it looks like the general feeling towards them is starting to shift.

x2

Its **Wests Tigers** and not _Western Suburn Magpies and Balmain Tigers…._

hang on, we are still a Joint Venture between Balmain and Wests - don't forget that.
I'm all for the "we are Wests Tigers now" rhetoric, but the colours and our name are not variables:

**Wests** Magpies (**black** + **white**) + Balmain **Tigers** (**black** + **gold**) = **Wests** **Tigers** (black + white + gold)

if we go about changing the colours to Blood Orange and move forward with this _"we are a completely different club"_ idea, then we may aswell dump the name aswell and call ourselves the "Greater Western Sydney Bengals". We'd also have to dump playing at Leichhardt and Campbelltown as these would be "relics of the past", instead shifting to Homebush.

I'm sorry, but when I went to game last night what did it see? Thousands of people wearing Balmain and Wests jerseys. People still love our heritage and all that it stands for.
This argument is not one that is _stuck in the past_ or _anti-future_. No, people who are stuck in the past are people like the Wests mob who keep crying about their club's incompetence, or raving lunatics who ark up about how much better Leichhardt is over Campbelltown.
On the contrary, to embrace our rich heritage of 203 (or 194 depending on how you calculate it) years and to celebrate it in this wonderful Joint Venture is something that is progressive and forward looking.

Tribalism is strong and growing, especially in the Balmain area.
Wests Tigers **are** Balmain and Wests. Try telling all those people yesterday who were wearing Balmain and Wests jerseys at a 1930's ground otherwise.

Kul, I have not lived long enough to know the differences between Balmain and Wests. All I'm saying is idc what colour the Wests Tigers have as long as they look good. To me, these jerseys look good even though people have written them off and many might even say I need an eye check-up.

I don't have any affection towards Balmain or Wests. The jerseys we wear now will create a heritage on its own IMO.

I mostly agree, all I'm saying is that I don't understand some people's arguments, for example, how they don't want a jersey that identifies closely with balmain and have a design that's uniquely WT, but want the colour orange to reflect the colour from the early days :crazy I thought the new 'blood orange', even though it's more close to actual orange than ever, is something people would like. A unique colour to wests tigers. No other team has orange as the main colour. They dumped balmain gold and I thought that was a great idea.

I love people wearing old jerseys and all that, I think it's awesome, pay your tribute to the past, but ultimately, the old fossils will die out and Wests Tigers as an entity will have it's own heritage to call upon. Where heritage days will be played in jerseys that are a throw back to the 2000 look and feel haha.

Anyway I'm losing track of my original point, but we can agree it's a unique situation our club is in. It's all about winning kids over and getting them to follow wests tigers anyway. Not appeasing to the demands of the old tribes. It's only a matter of time before we cut ties, I think it's starting to happen now.

Apologies, not pointing anyone out, just talking in general discussions I've read on this board.

Do you and your missus forget your parents when you get married and focus on your own family?
Our history is our history, it just depends how far back you wanna go….it does go back combined for more than 200 years like it or not....as for

These jerseys truly look nothing like the old balmain

Bwahahah
The orange jersey is very similar to an old balmain jumper

Do you really have to make everything a i hate sheens thread or a balmain vs wests.Your by far the worst at this

Bwahaha
The design has nothing to do with ''standing out"
All our orange jerseys have stood out
Weve had one every year of our existence
Its just this is the first year weve had a balmian jersey as our main…
I wonder what the 'retro' will look like this year?

That is BS ink - the 2000-2001 design was far closer to a Balmain jersey than this one!

Stop being a hypocrite - when you keep telling every one to move on - but do a 180 turn when you then don't like a jersey & start claiming Balmain bias!!

You are better than that sir!!!

Its Wests Tigers 2011 jersey. Get over it! You could say the black jersey of previous years was more Wests then Balmain. Who cares. Balmain and West no longer exist in the NRL.

:roll

You've got issues !!

The 2008-10 jersey was more Orange than this one is. This has a black V. I'm not making it a Balmain hate comment, I'm just saying, it's the most Balmain jumper we have had. The white one doesn't have a black V, why ??

to be honest, as i don't usually want to post on these sorts of threads, i USED to go for balmain before the merge and i don't really want to go back to that (seriously, im match happier going for WT) im a proud wests tigers man and last jersey design change (08?) i bought the prodomanately? black or 'main' jersey coz it simply looked better in my opinion. i didin't associate it with being the 'wests magpies' jersey or otherwise. it was the wests tigers jersey.

how people can still bang on about how OUR jersey looks is well beyond me (re the wests/balmain thing, not shit designs ect.). 2011 and some are still not over this…......
