New jerseys confirmed, Harry is back!

No Im saying your full of bs if you checked all the jerseys in a 19000 crowd at win and spotted 9! You either have poor eyesight or you should be a politician pressing the flesh meeting all those people.

I was there and had better things to do with my time than count jerseys so if you gonna make a statement base it on facts not bs

Why dont you use nrl merchandise numbers to make your statement not bias retric that only makes you look like a goose.

Uhhh - I think he was talking about the NEW style jerseys.
Would that be correct Bug?

Just had a quick squiz on a few other forums in topics about the Herritage jerseys from this weekend.

our one rocked too!

it seems most fans agree that all of the heritage jerseys rocked. I have to say I agree.
The Penrith one was excellent! It had class, identity and passion all sewn up in it!

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I didnt want to read all 35 pages of this thread but does anyone know where I can get that retro jersey? I have been to Concord twice and the lady said to 'keep in touch and should be getting some in soon".

I also tried rebel but no luck.

cheers,

J

Yes I am talking about the new style Jerseys. Blades are getting a new shipment of Jerseys in in early June which should include the Balmain Retro one. The fact that Humphreys did not have many of these available for purchase have been a marketing disaster for the club and it has cost us $$$$$.

I counted nine 2011 Wests Tigers Jerseys in the crowd on Sunday. I walked all the way around the ground to purposely count them. It was 6 adult orange ones, 1 adult white one and two kiddies jerseys with no sponsors.

We are halfway through the year and we can now comfortably say, these ugly jerseys have been a monumental flop.

Well you have shown yourself again to be a monumental twat Bug. Apart from wasting time wandering round the ground no doubt ignoring the under 20s you show that you cannot count or use any common sense. My 3 yr old was in the crowd actually right on the hill on the path with her new white Meriton sponsered shirt. Also the fact it was cold and people especially children were possibly covered up cross your mind, or did you strip search people as well?

Direct your wasted energy at supporting the club for once instead of bagging it.

Cold weather is certainly taken into account. The official counting took place after U20's. IronTiger due you agree there are not many 2011 jerseys in the crowd compared to other jerseys ??

P.S. I boooooed extra hard at the Wests Tigers this weekend.

Okay, the scene is set for Bug's patrol this Monday night. I suspect he'll be proven right and that hardly anyone will be wearing a way too expensive 2011 WT jersey. Most, like me, will be wearing whatever, something old, something tribal, but something the opposition knows that we are for the home team

This is silly stuff mate - just pure unadulterated crap rhetoric!!!

I've seen plenty at the SFS & Leichhardt - and I am not purposely looking!!!!

Bag the coach & team performance as much as you like - but now you're hitting merchandising due to some alleged Balmain bias in your mind!!

As I said - silly silly silly stuff from a bloke who craves credibility & influence!!!!

I think I might wear a jersey from a previous year on Mon night instead of a newer jersey just to skew Bugs 'official' stats

Ok Mr Marketing genius, if you've got all the answers, could you please apply for Humphreys' job, and SAVE THIS CLUB, WE'RE BEING RUN INTO THE GROUND!

Better yet, and much easier, got yourself nominated to be a director of one of the club's shareholders, and get yourself on the WT Board, where you can make a difference. Your absence from here is clearly putting this club at a massive risk.

Ok, back to topic, out merchandising numbers are among the best in the NRL, not the worst. I have seen many people around at games, both home and away, wearing this year's jerseys. On the heritage jersey, it would be great to have them out, but really, so many people complain about having to pay for new jerseys every year, so when the jersey hasn't actually changed design, rather just sponsor, is it a massive issue if they don't release them by the October before the season?? I personally would rather buy the jersey the team will wear throughout the year, and save my nostalgia money for a real Balmain jersey, such as the 1989 or 1969 one!

To all you guys who don't care how many new jerseys or new ANYTHING the club sells I will let you in on a little secret.
The people who do care are our sponsors and our club.
Sponsors pay big bucks to be associated with us - they want there names to be seen on TV and would obviously rather see their name on a fans jersey.
If the club don't sell enough jerseys they not only miss out on that sales revenue but have a weaker hand when negotiating the next sponsorship deal.
What the hell is a merchandising number?
If a sponsor's sales don't go up or he looks into the crowd and doesn't see his name on a jersey he'll soon be asking himself if he is spending his money wisely.

I can see Bug's point, so for all of you getting hysterical chill out and consider the facts. The number of new WT jersey’s at the grounds this year is significantly lower than in previous years. Sure there are a lot of WT’s jerseys but they are a mish mash of traditional, retro and recent year’s jerseys. I certainly think the club has made a bungle with the slow jersey release
On a final note, my purchase of the Herbal World sponsored jersey certainly didn't assist them in staying afloat. It was such a beautifully designed jersey

There is a bit on fox sports news about it. About 1/4 of the team were there in the pink jerseys. It was pretty much the white jersey with pink replacing the Orange.

Very true. Many other clubs had their 2011 jerseys on sale at Xmas 2010\. Ours should have been the same. The delay was costly.

Will be buying my 2011 jersey this week if possible & bug i wish they would sell the pink ones & i would buy one of those as well.

Yes but we also held off due to HYUNDAI coming on board and EGLOBAL, really get your facts right!!! Let me tell you it may also be because the cost of living has gone through the roof and people don't have the money to upgrade. Have you bothered to look at your power bill in the last 12 months?

I am a sponsor and let me tell you it is more important on how the team is performing on and off the field which counts not jerseys in the crowd. If the team plays well the sponsors branding is there to be seen on national tv free to air, fox and by the crowd on game day.

All you want to do is talk bs because you dont like the jersey thats all it is and can justify in your heads why you dont have one. I dont own one and it dont make me anymore or less of a supporter and by the way did you know that the tigers have the best sponsorship dollars in sydney?

That is a fact and it aint because of the colour of the new jersey its due to the way the club potrays itself and the brand of football it plays .

THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you're paying sponsorship dollars and your happy your name isn't on the jersey you're doing it for love- and that's ok.
These days the major sponsors do it to get maximum exposure to their brand- and that means being seen on the field and off.
Will agree that an association with a team performing well on and off the field is another consideration - as are the perceived demographics of the supporter base.
If they held off while waiting for a major sponsor to come on board fine - but once they were on board someone at the Tigers should have put a rocket up the manufacturer to get them done in a hurry.
I'm unsure if you're talking about me or hybrid in regards to not liking the current jersey but I think it's fine - as is my first one with Keith Barnes No 1 on the back (a classic).
