Has anyone thought it may just be the economic climate we are in that some things have to be left off the yearly shopping list and some people are saying that they have a jersey from previous years and are saying " It still fits and I need to cut some money from the budget ….. " It does not make you anymore or any less of a fan whether you wear a 70's retro jersey to a 2010 jersey . They are a bloody rip off , they could quite easily sell them for under $100 and still be making a killing on them . :brick:

i believe that is also a reason. and i agree they should be cheaper

I have mentioned this some time ago on the old forum.

I worked for a co making certain products to be officially licensed by the NRL.
We submitted our designs and pricing structure to the NRL for final approval, only to be told by the NRL that, in their terms," there should be more mark up" on the product as our pricing was too cheap. Our marketing dept had done their research and believed the prices we had set would best suit the target market we were aiming our products at. This was including us making a profit on our products.

So to be an officially licensed supplier, we agreed and a new price was set. Not more than 2 months after the release of our product, there was a flood of cheap counterfeit designs (exact copies of our designs!) on the market at a quarter of the price! We advised the NRL of this and they did nothing. So much for not wanting to "cheapen the brand"

Now on the jerseys, what I find annoying is when I see the jersey prices in the retail outlets, GearZone included, is that we were told by the NRL, now this is going back 9 - 10 years, that there is a 125 - 150% mark up on official NRL jerseys! So I am guessing that % would have gone up in that time.

I can understand why people don't buy the new jerseys but the NRL needs to be held responsible also.

Make of it what you will.

Depends on the V.
Bulldogs have had a V for a long time, looks schizenhausen to me

So have the Roosters & Dragons - but I'll take your fashion advice ink!!!

You'd know better than those who devised strips that have lasted over 100 years!!!

Best looking uniform in the competition…. Has a fresh appeal balanced with professionalism... Has a real corporate, international feel about it... Well Done Wests Tigers!!!

Dunno what we are talking about here, not searching a 30+ page thread to refresh my memory….but you need to brush up on your history red, Dragons are NOT a foundation club as you seem to be inferring

BTW its not advice....its opinion....as the last two words in blue in my post would suggest

Was in a Balmain sports store this morning when two customers that had purchased the new Wests Tigers jerseys as gifts returned them for being too small.
One person bought a size 4 for a 15 month old child and the other was a bloke who had bought a size 16 for his wife. His wife was with him and she looked a typical size 12 to me. The female shop assistant said that a lot of female customers had complained about the sizes. She it seems the women's sizes are Asian sizes – as in smaller by two sizes than in Australia.
Hmmm

This is true. The jerseys the players wear are made by 'Goodfellas' at St Peters. The supporters jerseys are made under licence in China.

I have bought 2 jerseys this season - the mainly white one and the women in league pink one. Both are XXXL. One fits perfectly and I feel comfortable in it; the other one is huge around the shoulders and really tight around the hips and constantly rides up and I don't feel comfy in it. Disappointing, because I love the design.

I agree Bug. White has only looked when it's a white V on a black jersey or thick white stripes on a black jersey, eh?

Suzie do you really like the white one?

I really think it is shocking.

I do. I usually like the orange jerseys because it is the unique colour (I have no personal affiliation to either club prior to the merger), but this year, I don't like it at all. It looks like someone's tried to mash the good old V on top of a new design and I think it's yuk, hence I have both white ones - the normal one and the pink one. And I love them both. This is the first time I've ever bought more than 1 jersey in a season - my last jersey was from 2005.

Note to all ladies buying the pink ladies jerseys. The sizes being sold
Do not match the real size of the person buying it. If you are a size 12 you will need a size 16\. Even harder when trying to fit in boobs. Better off going for a mens large or xl.

Even then the Pink Men's sizes are smaller than the Normal men's sizes.

My Wife needed a size larger in the Pink Jersey than the White Jersey.

Mine are both the same size, but the pink one is about 3cm smaller all around than the white one.

Here a couple of alternative Jerseys designed by me and put together by Craegus.
just for fun.
I rekon they look pretty good though.

I like them - nice design skills- although have a feeling some might want a little more white in there.
Like to see what you would do with the back.
