New jerseys confirmed, Harry is back!

Yeah I think most sponsors are in it for the advertising…..they get exposure if the team plays well or not....

It hasnt been the best business in regards to the jerseys being late and unavailable, (some still)....if you have a product it needs to be on the shelves or you miss the boat, sorry the club has screwed up here

i dont think the slow jersey release is the only reason why numbers are low. i think its also because this year's jersey designs aren't all that good.

they look great to me but i wont be buying one and not very supporter buys a jersey everytime there is a change neither.

Relax and stop trying to find fault with everything some of you people. Always something to complain about, its funny how most of the negative sentiments come from the same select few.

I've previously posted that the debate is boring but I agree with Alien and Bug. IMO the 2011 jerseys look like crap. Please, can we show it's a JOINT venture by playing with two jerseys: Black and White V or stripes representing the Wests Magpies and Orange with Black Vs or stripes representing the Balmain Tigers alternated equally throughout the season.

I cannot think of any reason why that is not the best way to promote both sides of the joint venture.

Either way the fans can dress whatever and the opposition will know who we are.
Bug's been bagged for his opinion about fans wearing the 2011 jersey but I think he's right. I live in Rozelle and ONLY go to home games at Leichhardt Oval because I can walk there in my 1986 Tigers jersey. Ink implies that makes me a casual fan - whatever.
Standing 'neath the scoreboard on the Hill at Leichhardt Oval I can't remember ever seeing anything other than retro Magpies or Tigers jerseys - for good reason. IMO all the Wests Tigers jerseys from 2000, other than the heritage jerseys, look like crap compared to the old school jerseys.

I'm an old Balmain fan that respects Wests, and accepts our need to merge in 2000 to survive.

At the moment the Wests side of the merger is not being adequately promoted in our jersey. Which is a pity because the 70's Wests jersey should scare the beejeesus out of all

Has anyone thought it may just be the economic climate we are in that some things have to be left off the yearly shopping list and some people are saying that they have a jersey from previous years and are saying " It still fits and I need to cut some money from the budget ….. " It does not make you anymore or any less of a fan whether you wear a 70's retro jersey to a 2010 jersey . They are a bloody rip off , they could quite easily sell them for under $100 and still be making a killing on them . :brick:

Dear Happy,
I agree. My 1986 jersey was purchased in 1986\. The current jerseys cost way too much. And look terrible.

For those who were waiting for the fully sublimated sponsor jerseys, they are now available. I bought the orange one today at Gearzone Campbelltown.

Some sizes still have the stuck on sponsors, I guess they are trying to offload them before placing the new stock out (though if you are nice and ask, they might grab one from out the back - no guarantees though!!), can't tell you about what sizes are which version (as I only looked at my end of the sizes) but I know 2xl is still the suck on, 3xl (which I got) and up is sublimated in the orange, not sure about the white in any size.

In my opinion the sublimated look, much better on the back without the white box around eGlobals logo

And before anyone asks the orange is the same front and back, it is just the poor lighting in my house that caused it to look different.

Put white shorts on the Orange Jersey like 2005 and it will look much better. You get a good feel for all our colours and the white sides of the jersey would flow nicely into the white shorts.

I wrote to them asking to try it or take sample photo's. Lets see if they do it.

I got issues your kidding wake up you go on like a child.

All this over a bit of white and it doesnt matter if it wasnt this you would be whining about something else.

I KNOW WHAT THE CLUB WOULD BE THINKING ABOUT YOUR LETTER…..LAUGHING AND SAYING OH .....no i better not say.

YES !!!!!!!!!!

Looks like the club did not laugh after all when I wrote to the about wearing white shorts with the Orange jersey. Today's appearance had a bit of 2005 about it !!!

I will accept my apology tiger4ever. Many others have lined up before you old son.

The orange jersey with white shorts and socks was forced on the Wests Tigers at almost the last moment because the black socks and shorts were too close to the Warriors uniform.
It had nothing to do with a letter from Bug.

So when we play teams with dark shorts and socks we will be forced to wear white is that right ??Isnt the fluro Orange jersey enough of a contrast ??

Oh, and by the way, the Warriors wore blue shorts and sock, like the knights, bulldogs, cowgirls, storm etc etc.

Montague is right, it was mentioned during the broadcast that it was an NRL decision at the last minute as they were worried about the clash.
