New player off contract rumors

but thats not my point - i hope jake mullaney doesnt turn out to be a blake lazurus. i mean whatever happened to him. I think injuries killed him. others say mullaney is too skinny - no man about him.

You have answered your own question AHX. Garry Jack (Australias greatest ever fullback) was nothing like Mullaney in that Mullaney is small and light and Garry Jack was a pretty big and tough fullback, IMO most noted for tough and reliable defence.

TBH Chris Lawrence is the one who reminds me of Garry Jack in build and style

Yes there are some similarities there aren't there, wonder how Chris would go at fullback

Well if the rumor is true that Lui is leaving it stands to reason that Tigers wouldn't let Brown go. Moltz to 7 and Mitch Brown to 1.

Rowdy was a fullback,he became a centre at the WestsTigers, but we need him in the centres now unfortunately.

I'd really like to see him there. Unfortunately he is also a gun centre. I can see him running the ball back hard and making plenty of busts.

I reckon he would be the best fullback in the club, (un?)fortunately is also one of the best centres in the NRL.

Brought it up in a thread yesterday . If you leave people in the lurch you don't give them much option . No doubt Brown thought to himself "this club is too worried about everything else and not me " . Good player , hate to see him go But he deserves better . Daniela must now become a priority unless someone we don't know about is coming

Don't count on Daniela being re-signed either.

Gee the cupboard looks bare for the outside backs Look at how long some of them have been out injured for this year alone . Have you heard any solid gossip Willow about any outside backs coming ???

I have not heard about any potential incoming backs. I suspect the Tigers may look at signing a fringe first grader or two in the same mold as Brown and Daniela. I expect a few of the NYC players may be upgraded to the top 25…players such as Simona and Finau who the club have high hopes for, as well as Limoni Kamuta. That would take care of losing Brown and Daniela who I do not think the club will push to re-sign.

I believe the club would resign daniella and brown at the price they think they are worth. Cronulla will have to pay overs to get brown back and if he wants the money then sure go… personally i think cronulla is a big mistake and these players are gettin bad advice from there managers... money isnt everything and careers can be washed up in a season...

Jimmy Jack played at 78-80kgs and was 5 foot 10 - he was tough & robust but never big Glenn!!

Far from Rowdy's 100kgs+!!!

PS - Rowdy played fullback for Australian Schoolboys!

I feel most sorry for Daniella in that case.

He will be out for most of the year. Hasn't put a foot wrong when he has played for us, punched above his weight in defense (contained inglis for approx half the match in the 30-6 win vs souths, after changing sides with ayshford) been the usual light on his feet and quick in attack. Been a really good depth player.

However, he will now be off contract,

sees the tigers are buying/shuffling players,

and unfortunately prob won't get picked up for any more than minimums at another club.

At least with Brown if he goes back to the sharks will probably be on a better wicket $$$ wise over there.

But jeez, they have Dean Collis in reggies as well I mean, do they have a clue over there?

He was on IInglis side for less than 20 minutes in the Souths game - after Aysh went to lock!!

I admire your poetic license with facts - but half a game is a bit ,much!!

Looks like we'll be fielding a vastly changed squad next year.

Will it be new and improved? To be honest I have my doubts…

In all honesty a change is good as not much has changed since 06,we re just a little more consistent

Since 06 we have lost Prince, Hodgo, Harrison, Laffranchi, Elford, Galea, Fitzhenry, Skandalis, Tuiaki, Whatuira, Halatau, Collis, McDonnell, Harris, O'Hara, Lolesi, De Gois, Galllant…...

The likes of Morris, Payne, D. Galea, S. Flanagan, Laurie, T'eo, Tandy, Lazarus, Hanbury, Metusela, Mataka, Taumata, Tupou............. have come & gone!

And we have either unearthed or purchased current players like Moltzen, Lui, Dwyer, Woods, Fifita, Murdoch-Masilla, McKinnon, Ellis, Tuqiri, Miller, Ayshford, Ryan, Moors, Brown, Daniela, Simona ................

Yeah - not much has changed since 06!!!?????!!!!

Payten, Gibbs, Fulton, Marshall, Farah, Heighington all from the '05 GF side (6/17)

Plus with Fitz and Skando having only recently finished up, that's 8 from the 17 or nearly half the entire squad.

With Payten and Gibbs going, we'll be left with just four.

Having a look at NQ though, they still have Thurston, Bowen and Payne. Interesting…

Life moves on,

There are others that maybe should have moved on earlier than these two, however we have known for a long time that we would have to let some good players go.

There's a big picture to think off and the Tigers would never cheat.

Really? I find that hard to believe (not doubting you) I remember him being much bigger. His legs where huge. Also his son goes to my sons school and Ive seen him plenty of times recently. I'm 5'10" and he is definitely taller than me.
