New S+C Coach

Does anyone have any pics of our training facilities/gym at Concorde ?
I'm picturing rusted steel and a wet floor just like in a salvage /wreckers yard :laughing:

The Gym in itself is not bad ….It's a gym,,, the equipment is modern....the problem lies not with the tools..moreso with the training and sports science behind it which we fall away ...As Taylor said on 2sm the Roosters don't have the best training facilities either ...didn't effect them winning a premiership the falling one game short in defending it...

The appointment of Smith goes a long way in rectifying that IMO...

Getting back on track … Getting rid of Skandalis and having someone professional and as well respected as Keegan as our SC coach,is a vast improvement and better then i had hoped for. It's going to make a big difference to our boys. For the better.

Tigermama and Jerry,it will be great to see our players involved with a professional S&C person,not knocking Skando and others,but it will be good to see them have quality strength and conditioning straight up.I think the improvements will be great in this area,injuries I hope will be at a bare minimum,they were what really killed our season this year.

I'm with ink, happy for new and well-credentialed appointments, but I want to see runs on the board before I get too excited about anyone.

Too many optimistic off-seasons have resulted in early returns to off-season.

Keegan has been given the direction to pick the whole S&C department for both the NRL and NYC. The club has certainly identified this area as a huge need for improvement and they definitely have the right guy in place to turn it around.

I wonder if Skando ever asked his new recruits to include their deadlift, clean and press results in their application?!?!

I hope we aren't expecting miracles with this appointment. S&c isn't the be all or the end all. Remember sharks had been breaking the law in this department but still didn't have much impact on the field.

Yes but we aren't employing the Sharks S& C department…We have employed Smith who was in charge of the Roosters.....their results on the field in relation to injuries and performance haven't been too shabby...
