New Zealand Warriors eye under-fire Tigers coach Tim Sheens

There are plenty of good coaches around the real trick is you get the right one.

Anderson has a proven track record and a Premiership and has a not so good record in the end but let's say Parra and coaches we all no about that… could be a possibility I like Mick Potter seems a guy that is giving a lot to succeed ...no NRL but young and hungry with some runs on the board and wanting to make a name for himself .Until the man leaves all hypothetical .

Surprised anyone is interested in him, however he may do something good for the Warriors - that would be a giant kick in the face for Tigers fans.

Don't worry about where he end's up or how well it turns out. His job was done long ago at the tigers. Even if he joined another club and won 3 premiership in a row, I don't want him back. Years ago when I first wanted him replaced, I was happy to have him appointed as a coaching coordinator, but seeing how stubborn he is with team selections and playing favorites, he no longer belongs. It's a team sport and and his approach reeks on jobs for the boys. Giant kick in the face of tigers fans, are you kidding or what.

Could you elaborate on Matterson a bit? First time I've heard his name bought up.

What about Todd Payton, would he fit the bill, if Tim Sheens goes elsewhere :bulb:

Not yet. Hasn't served enough of an apprenticeship for starters, and Nathan Brown's tenure at the Dragons showed that you should never coach your mates.

Personally I would not get rid of Sheens but I would get rid of his support staff. Assistant coach, trainers, strength and conditioning coach etc. And put Sheens on notice. The last time they did this, he produced two top 4 finishes in a row. The guy can coach. He breathes, eats, sleeps and sh!%s football. Give him at least half of next season to produce better results with the players he has signed.

We have had one of the most turbulent seasons I can remember. It started in round 1 with Tedesco getting injured and from there it got worse. Injuries to Ellis, Galloway, Moltzen, Murdoch-Masilla, Fulton, Utai, Tuquri, Farah at various stages this season. Add the death of Robbies mum (yes I know Matt Scotts mum passed away as well) to all the injuries and its been a horror season.

I employ 11 people, if my business goes bust, should I sack all my staff or am I accountable for their lack of productivity. The buck stops with the boss.

I agree with this post….Put Sheens on Notice....clean out his support staff, especially his defense coach....get a decent hafback and give him till mid point 2013 to prove he made the right changes...

Yeah I am in the Daniel Anderson camp, squarely.

He himself said the game has passed him by, so I'd look for a new camp.

The way people talk you'd think we ran last 4 years in a row.

People have short memories, we did have successive top 4 finishes before this year, which was disappointing, undoubtedly. That said it is a results based business and if he continues to fail he should be punted, but people should get a bit of perspective.
