Unfortunately I think we have to buy a captain

I actually think the same.
Douehi getting a good percent of votes tells us that you hardly need a handful games here anyway before you earn respect.

Must be 11 Lebanese guys on the forum voting for him...

As of writing 11 votes for Doueihi...

Can't understand the love for him...will end up NRL's biggest plodder in a year or 2.

I'm a skip but I vote for Doueihi. You have to admire his show of emotion last game. As a benefit, he is a great footballer.

That's a pretty sad bunch to try and pick a captain out of. I don't think Brooks needs any extra pressure by being captain, tbh, I would throw Nofa in there before Brooks at least he has a go each week and shows passion, albeit with the odd error or two, but no worse than our existing captains now.

Noffa has a lot of attributes, but he’s a winger, and you don’t make wingers captains.

The Magpies had a very good Captain during the 80's @GNR4LIFE....Warren Boland, and he was a winger.

Brooks for mine - thats what halves are for

If he can produce good halfback football and control the game and manage the team around the park, then Im all for it,however at the moment he would be down the order as far a captains go..I dont think he could handle the situations that arise during games,he is very quietly spoken and doesnt handle confrontation to well so its said..

But then again giving him that kind of responsibility could be just what he needs to finally step up another couple of levels in his career...

Packer co captain AD (grooming)
When Packer goes Blore if he becomes a regular, co captain to AD. Blore seem to always captain sides he is on including origin

Blore has played 3 games. Hasn’t even begun to cement himself as a first grader.

Sorry a bit of a glitch there.
Being a good captain at an NRL club requires a lot more than on field leadership and it seems to me that none of our current players stand out as having all the required qualities.
At the moment i’d go AD and Packer as co-captains but consider Grant if he chose to stay with us.

Its sad but i cant vote for any and the choices listed are really the only options as it stands.

If i was a betting man, MM will still be on the books and have the C next season. Hopefully we can see the emergence of either Twal or Aloiai who are probably most likely or the club buys in someone that can fill the role. Sad state of affairs really.

Packer 🤣🤣🤣

Out of those I honestly couldn't pick one, if someone forced me to I'd have to go Twal, but he seems like a gentle giant and probably too nice to be captain.
I can't see a team responding to him.

I meant Blore in a couple of years when Packer is off contract, if he does cement a 1st grade spot.

I know, even discussing the possibility is way too early.

10 Lebanese guys and 1 Aussie then...I wasn't impressed by his crying, nor do I think he's a great footballer.

I wonder what you'd say if every week we were flogged by 40 and 17 blokes stood out on the field and cried about it?

Crying over a football game means you're broken...you have lost control of your emotions and you've fallen into a heap. He needs to get his head right...

Make that 9 Lebanese. I think its just not solely about the loss, likely combination of things. Living in that bubble has got to affecting players

I'm not Lebanese. Got nothing to do with race, has to do with how the guy handles himself. He's a pro. Great attitude and a hell of a footballer.
