That's a pretty sad bunch to try and pick a captain out of. I don't think Brooks needs any extra pressure by being captain, tbh, I would throw Nofa in there before Brooks at least he has a go each week and shows passion, albeit with the odd error or two, but no worse than our existing captains now.

Noffa has a lot of attributes, but he’s a winger, and you don’t make wingers captains.

The Magpies had a very good Captain during the 80's @GNR4LIFE....Warren Boland, and he was a winger.

If he can produce good halfback football and control the game and manage the team around the park,then Im all for it,however at the moment he would be down the order as far a captains go..I dont think he could handle the situations that arise during games,he is very quietly spoken and doesnt handle confrontation to well so its said..

But then again giving him that kind of responsibility could be just what he needs to finally step up another couple of levels in his career...

Sorry a bit of a glitch there.
Being a good captain at an NRL club requires a lot more than on field leadership and it seems to me that none of our current players stand out as having all the required qualities.
At the moment i’d go AD and Packer as co-captains but consider Grant if he chose to stay with us.

Its sad but i cant vote for any and the choices listed are really the only options as it stands.

If i was a betting man, MM will still be on the books and have the C next season. Hopefully we can see the emergence of either Twal or Aloiai who are probably most likely or the club buys in someone that can fill the role. Sad state of affairs really.

Out of those I honestly couldn't pick one, if someone forced me to I'd have to go Twal, but he seems like a gentle giant and probably too nice to be captain.
I can't see a team responding to him.
