NEXT TO BE RELEASED?

My bet it's Anasta.
Thoughts?

Maybe, it was such a weird signing to begin with.
I can see him retiring now Benji is going and he has media opportunities he could take up.

I'd like it to be Anasta, but I'd say we'll proceed to not re-sign anyone else off contract this season, so Bell, Reddy, Utai and a couple of others will probably retire/move on.

Tragically I suspect they'll keep him to provide "experience in the halves" or some such. To be fair we do need some kind of cover there: without Anasta we'd be going into next season with two rookies (Brooks and Moses), a back rower (Siro) and a total nuffie (Moltzen) as the half options.

Royce Simmons for starters

And then in no particular order Moltzen,Tuqiri, Utai and possibly Anasta depending on what he offers in the next 6 weeks

Tuqiri.. is he still here ? Why is he still here ?

I think whilst Anasta wants to play on he'll be staying. I agree, he really hasn't provided us with anything other than leadership this season. His form's been below par and ineffective. Last weekend was as bad as it's been for Braith. If he left, I've got to admit I certainly wouldn't be disappointed.

Yeah I guess he is in limbo at the moment , not signed for next season , but just getting in early before Tigers management do something rash

I agree Pete the club will probably want him for his experience but if he doesn't lift the standard of his game then that experience isn't worth jack, very disappointed with his effort against Manly let's see what he does against Gold Coast if he gets a run.

Don't forget we were all thrilled to get Tuqiri at our club several seasons ago :crazy but yep I would like to see Royce move on, and Folkes back :bulb:

I think Moltzen or Anasta will be next, but I think we need to keep one or the other for another year for experience in the halves.

If I had to choose I'd release Moltzen as he's coming back from another serious injury, he still has 2 years left in his contract, and we'll have no use for him in 2015.

anasta.he is either too slow now for the halves and too small for the forwards.

when the manly half ran around him last week it should have sent alarm bells to the coaching staff, let alone the other parts of his game.

I don't know whether he has scored a try this year nor how many he has been part of.

he should pull the pin before he gets the tap on the shoulder.

Anasta won't go anywhere and I reckon he should stay,as diabolical as he has been this year he's been injured coming into a new team in strife I think given a free rein next season we would see better performances to be honest I think he is pivotal next season with the amount if youth coming through you also need experience.
After next year he will be on his bike not before, lote,Utai probably Bell and reddy are the ones who will go

Anasta is signed for another two years after this right? He'll be sticking around for at least next year as a mentor for Brooksy and Moses.

Mitchell might play 1st grade towards the end of next year but is too small atm. A LOT of faith being shown in Brooks rite now. A lot.

Braith already made mention that he'll stay with WT in 2014 in some capacity, but maybe not as a player. He said he could very well retire at seasons end.

I actually wonder who our halves are going to be next year. Are we expecting Brooks and Sironen to be the first-choice pair? Because other than them and Anasta there basically isn't any other option. If Moltzen and his literally nonexistent kicking game get a run then we might as well accept the spoon now.
