NEXT TO BE RELEASED?

I actually wonder who our halves are going to be next year. Are we expecting Brooks and Sironen to be the first-choice pair? Because other than them and Anasta there basically isn't any other option. If Moltzen and his literally nonexistent kicking game get a run then we might as well accept the spoon now.

Im not a motlzen fanboy but something you said made me think maybe it could work? Brooks has a good kicking game as we all know, and moltz a decent running game. I'd say that compliments each other decently. problem is, moltzen is coming of an ACL and is not an amazing half. I'd prefer someone better to guide brooks through but maybe we could make do with moltzen IF brooks does decently.

Anasta could make more money in the media. It is a shame that he is still playing because he has been very good in the past. The way he plays, he is not at NRL level. He should retire with dignity. I hope he wont overstay his ability.

I do think it will be Lote, Matt Utai, Matt Bell and Joel Reddy.
would like to see Matt Bell given another year.
like the way he plays no nonsense, gets in and tackles and runs straight and hard.

Yep I'm not a Moltzen fan either, but bottom line is we have to field someone in the halves for 2014, Brooks is an auto selection for halfback and given the consensus on Moses is he might not be quite ready, we will have Sirro/Moltz and *sigh* Anasta.

I wouldn't rule out Moltzen at 5-8th at this point.

Moltzen, Utai, Tuqiri, Anasta, Blair in no particular order.
Brooks/Siro combo is probably how it will pan out.
It's a risk but its about time we start to take them…

Royce Simmons for starters

And then in no particular order Moltzen,Tuqiri, Utai and possibly Anasta depending on what he offers in the next 6 weeks

Tuqiri.. is he still here ? Why is he still here ?

**Don't forget we were all thrilled to get Tuqiri at our club several seasons ago :crazy** but yep I would like to see Royce move on, and Folkes back :bulb:

With good reason too. Lote was great for us in his 1st year.
Unfortunately injuries and Father Time caught up with him and he has been a bit of a liability ever since.

Anasta has been a massive disappointment, thought he would of offered a lot more than he has that's for sure. Though it is hardly like we are flush with options in the halves for 2014, he may be needed just for his experience unfortunately.

Our recruitment and retention is as bad as it gets (excluding Parra).

Like to see Anasta semi retire, take up a mentoring role at the club, but maybe be available if injuries strike or our halves are just not firing. The bottom line,if we flick him and no one else grabs him we are up for 200grand so we would be mad not to try and use his talents. My main concern is if he stays his name will be penciled in on the team sheet every week regardless of form (like Benji now)

Moses will be fine. He is bigger than Benji was at this stage of his career. An off season with a couple of weights will do it.

You cannot surpress natural talent. Give him a fair go and let's see what happens.

Please, no more talk of Moltzen ever getting another run in any grade.

This is my thoughts as well. Let Moltzen go. Give Moses a chance.

100% correct guys. Moses I don't think will be out of the reckoning You can see once he puts on some muscle, he'll be fine. No rush though Will still be eligible for the Holden Cup next year. It may just be that he does something similar to what Brooks has done this season.

Braith already made mention that he'll stay with WT in 2014 in some capacity, but maybe not as a player. He said he could very well retire at seasons end.

Yep, i didn't hear Braith say he would be at WT in some role next year, but i did hear him say he was undecided whether he would play in 2014.

With the increase in the size of players I don't think its worth it to send Moses out in R1 - Game isn't the same as 10 years ago. Perhaps later on in the season but even then.
Problem for the club is that they need to get early results as well or fans will bail early - Potter will have plenty of pressure early as well.
Anasta was ok at halfback earlier in the season so I don't think his season should be judged on one performance (he hasn't been good in the forwards I'll admit).
Could have been putting his hand up to help the team right before the game (ultimately a bit counter-productive) - can anyone confirm how long Siro has been carrying the injury?
I'm not sure that releasing players would be beneficial to us at this stage unless a club picks them up. Just wasting money on potential depth players.

Chris Lawrence according to the Grill Team

Another Wests Tigers player is believed to have signed with the Cronulla Sharks.

It's rumoured Sharks coach Shane Flanagan began talks with Chris Lawrence a few months ago. And the 24-year-old representative centre is expected soon to announce that he’ll be joining the Sharks for the 2014 season.

Lawrence has played his whole NRL career with the Tigers. If he does make the move, he will be joining former team-mates Andrew Fifita, Beau Ryan, Chris Heighington and Blake Ayshford in the Shire.

The entire Board and anyone that has been associated with it in the last 50 years. Anyone that has done any business with those on the current or former board. Also their children neigbhours milk men even people that they buy newspapers from just get them all out.

Last night I am reading Turning the thing around. This is about jimmy Johnson the College championship and NFL super bowl former coach. Tell me this passage does not describe our board current and former boards going back to the good old Allan Jones days for us Balmain supporters. This below is why our guys are flat and is why we will not make the finals in the next 5 years. I would say ten years but unless there are changes at the top we will not be around in ten years.

How true is this

"As elements have their valances - measures of atoms' ability to combine with one another to form molecules, so the chemistry of human personalities, which I call bonding. has loyalty: the force which enables human beings to cooperate and reciprocate. There is no such thing as a team without loyalty. There is such a thing as the word "team" being thrown around loosely as a mask for one-sided loyalty (and there we go back to the worst possible kind of CEO, the phony) Loyalty must be reciprocal, and it must be initiated from the top. Demanding loyalty from your people, without first showing your loyalty to them, is a disastrously phony."(Jimmy Johnson Turning the thing around 1993)
