NFL

So Bama wins 37-21 in the end. At half time it looked like a landslide was on the cards. McCoy didn't even see the first drive out and we're down 24-6 at the break. It was pretty admirable performance from the horns though. They defended great apart from Ingram's obvious talents and to get back to 24-21 and actaully have the ball with 3 mins to go was a fantastic effort. Just a shame we couldn't finish the fairy tale.

I just wonder though, had Colt stayed fit, do Bama win still?

Well the Eagles are gone. Excellent performance by the Dallas defence yet again.

A few suprising results in the Wild Card round though

Gee Dallas have exorcised some demons this season. First we got rid of the ego's in the squad aka. Terrell Owens and co. Then Romo started treating the ball with more respect. Then we decided to win some games in december for a change. We banished the eagles and the memories of that horrible end to last season and to top it off, a first play off win since 96.
Things look good for big D but Minnesota have the arsenal to hurt any side on its day. The good news about facing the Vikes is that many experts believe they're virtually a similar looking team to that of the eagles who we went 3-0 on this season. We matched up really well against them. Hopefully that counts for something on the weekend. Farve's never won a playoff games V the Cowboys either.

i still can't get over the fact brown called a timeout with 15secs in the 1st half and they go with a shovel pass.coach cost texas the game with that call.

was very disappointing to see colt go out of the game.
i wanted to see the 2 best teams play and with colt going out it took that away from a spectator standpoint.

as for the nfl,i still think the saints are the best team i have seen.
would like to see the saints and colts fight it out.
plus i hate favre and the jets.

Saints Vikings will be a cracker this weekend though.

I too want to see the jets get mullered

Theres no doubt that Colts will smash Jets this weekend imo.
Colts vs Saints, Superbowl
From there HOPE Saints beat colts but id say its 50/50

Brown said it was a low risk play but at 17-6 down, the lowest risk play would've been to take a run and play the clock out. With 5 to go in the fourth that play told an even bigger picture as we were down by just 3.

I think the Colts and Saints will go through. Got a feeling the Vikes played their final last week against the boys.

That was a great game. Minnesota paid the ultimate price for a real sloppy performance. had their chances and they blew it! Colts by 9 for me.

Superbowl weekend!

Monday 10am
Ch 10, One, ESPN.

Gonna be a fascinating match up. Saints are the fairytale, Colts have arguably the greatest in Manning. Going to a superbowl party for the day. Looking forward to it!

Yeh mate, it is going to be huge. Lets hope Saints can get home and Reggie Bush can run in a few touchdowns

Saints to win, will be great for the city to have something that will lift their spirits after the last few years.

Never won a superbowl. Manning the rival is a Louisiana son, his father a famous Saint. The plot line thickens, thats just the beginning too. I'm backing the fairytale! Go the NFC! I just hope the occasion doesn't get to the Saints.

Didn't watch the game and only saw the highlights on the news. That crucial play with the intercept sounded exciting when I heard about it but the actual play looked so straightforward. It looked like just a bad pass and then the guy who caught it didn't need to get past any sort of defense. I guess it is a bit like when Kimmorley threw that intercept in SOO a few years back.

Time to ressurect this thing. NFL may still be the best part of 2 weeks away and College football a week earlier. It's been a long, long off season if i may say. Who do you guys like this year?\

My tips….Jets, Saints, Vikings, Colts and Cowboys will be right up there. Jets have a good look about them but only one of them and the Colts can win it obviously. Vikings get Favre back this season and a lot of people think Dallas are building nicely which i like to hear.

The college scene has been in recess for even longer now, only another week left. All the off season seems to have been dominated by teams looking to shift conferences in the future. I think Alabama are going to pretty much win it again though they got to replace a few handy defensive players. I can't see Texas keeping pace unfortunately. Boise , TCU and Ohio State are getting some wraps in pre season.

Gonna be a fun footy season. Can't wait for it!
