For heavens sake we don't need more backs, Madge is trying to save his arse and Tim is making a statement even though signings thus far have been awesome, Stef upgrade is a must and upgrade/resign those who perform well during the year. Player swaps to our advantage I'll agree with but 2023 is our year. We have to make sure that players who step up don't have their contracts all expire at the same time, like what happened to the eels, must stagger.

I fail to see how we don't need another first grade quality centre who has played for NSW and Australia when he was 20yrs old? A player who instantly becomes our best centre.
Who and where are these other proven NRL quality players?

Outside backs are nice to haves after you have secured a forward pack that won’t get steamrolled, Bellamy is famous for picking centre’s from obscurity.

If the plan is to play Hastings and brooks in the halves then you have Doueihi coming back also to play in the centre’s. would prefer Thompson at the right price or one of the young cowboy second towers.

I tend to agree. Cotric strikes me as a bit like Isaako - lots of wraps but actually not that amazing at anything. He'd be an upgrade on what we have but at a cost that's, at best, fair value and quite possibly overs. If he wants to go back to cow town good for him - I'm not gonna cry myself to sleep.

I do agree with you that if we do get Cotric he walks into the team but that’s still a IF because who knows where he’s going of course I hope we do get him but if not I won’t be losing sleep he’s talented and a decent player but its still a waiting game and if we don’t get him JTJ gets another contract for 22 easily unless another Centre becomes available but for Round 1 if we don’t get him our Centres will be Kepaoa and Gildart or JTJ it won’t be any of the others unless any of those 3 are unavailable

I like the look of Toupo however he'll need a bit of time in reggies to get the feel of things. Might be a decent option throughout the season though.

Maybe he doesn't want him on 500k like some are reporting.

The comment was that we didn't need anymore backs, so I was interested to know who else we had of proven first grade standard.

I agree with that summation. But will also add that he's also a better winger than Nofa and Ken M, if he was needed there and in addition out of all the players you listed (plus Ken and Nofa) Cotric is by far the best option for Fullback if Laurie was to get injured. Logen Dillon is still developing needs to play against Men before playing NRL. So Cotric adds to the Squad depth across Centre, Wing and Fullback which is a massive plus
