Did Nagas play? I didn't notice

Yep I think he raced past Lawrence at one stage trying to score that last try

Love IQ…just watched again Lawrence was on the other side of the field.... Nagas put Branko Lee thru Buchanan and Funaki and then Richards cleaned him up back on the inside and got binned....

Lawrence also made his way from the other side of the field to put Lovett over for our last TRY which turned out to be the match winner...

**I thought we lacked structure and guidance in attack**, but defensively we were really impressive. Lawrence did not get much opportunity with the ball but in defense I thought he looked really good.

Raiders gave us a leg up and we capitalized which is good rugby league. Canberra have one of the best squads IMO so a win against them is great.

Kevin N was excellent, and I liked Santi and Funaki too.

If Pat played field position and stopped kicking we good have put on more points.

Idk how much of that you get in nines.

I think Kev will start round 1.

what he means is we had no leadership or spark in attack and just looked lost.

wingers kicking on the last multiple times doesn't shout 'we are a cohesive attacking unit'

Yeh I noticed that play from Lawrence as well. Good on him.

We made plenty of ground up the middle, just need to keep the ball alive a bit more & take advantage of the opposition being on the back foot. Doesn't sound like a problem we'd normally have does it.

Glad you noticed my sarcasm

Absolutely loving the Jillaroos v Ferns match….The standard is excellent .... very impressive lot's of ball movement and some of the hits are epic

Just goes to show the female refs are blind too.
Missed a touch by the Kiwis that would have given the Aussies the ball 10 metres out - ended up costing them the game.

hard to critisize lawrence when we played with 1 half who is nsw cup standard. he never got the ball in any sort of good position, our shifts were terrible (we did 1 decent one from cherrington which resulted in lovetts second try)

naquima was great in attack and defence, santi a machine in D (i know its only the 9s but he must be a shot at the 13 jumper for round 1, surely a better option the halatau), lamar moved great for a big guy and cherrington made a huge difference when he was on.

in saying all of this the raiders really gave us the win through constantly handing us the ball. i dont expect us to win wither of our next two games.

on another note i am sick to death of richards getting the ball 1on1 less then 10ms out against a smaller opponent and kicking it. have a go pat, you are massive.

no one's complaining. just an observation. its clearly because we have no playmakers

the same could be said for any of the good players on our team. pshh who cares about santi and simona? its just some preseason tournament 6 weeks before the season even starts.

I would have started Simona, we were useless in attack until he came on and provided some spark. Not sure about having Buchanan and Brown on together in the nines, we found out for a lack of pace at some stage. Still, win this game, and we are pretty much through (unless Canberra fluke a win against the Warriors).
