Don't you love Footy…

26-0 against one of the pre-tournament fav's .....going back to the beginning of this thread reading through the comments when the squad was announced is hilarious.....

Warriors win here will see us through to the quarters when most thought we'd be lucky to win a game...lol

Santi was awesome....

Yeah but you must admit the teams we have played have literally rolled over

Not that I care , the rest of our opposition can rollover as well

Yeah , at least there's some room for some guarded optimism lol

with a +32 point for and against and being the only team on 2 wins we are pretty much guaranteed top spot in our group win, lose or draw tomorrow

cherrington still has to work on his D.

if youve seen him in the 20s, he goes alright defensively against the kids but we want to build him up so he can play perhaps close to 60 minutes of first grade at hooker during origin.

and i think that's best done in NSW Cup, not by playing him off the bench when we already have an 80 minute origin hooker.

I know this is a massive call , but seriously I would love to see Cherrington in the 17 come Round 1

It is a power game come round one ..he will get game time through the season bring him in slow a huge talent.

Titans aren't the biggest forward pack going around bar Taylor , and Cherrington coming on for 15-20 minutes off would do Farah a world of good

You could actually keep Farah out there and play him as a lock like Qld do with Smith when they bring DCE on

We would become a mass of attacking options with Cherrington on the field

If it is lose (v Warriors) so long as it is only by a couple of points. That 26 nil win was very helpful. Tigers really deserve top spot and a quarter finals place after the way we played today.

Aah the ole we only won cause the opposition was crap…..never gets old lol..

I prefer they only played as good as we let them....doesn't change the fact we beat em

After today, I was really impressed with Buchanan. It looked as though he was a new player. Seemed to have a lot more size about him and constantly put his hand up for a hit up. A sneaky try in the game against the Raiders probably did his confidence some good as well.

Santi was impressive also, a true workhorse by the looks of it, hopefully our future Fulton in terms of defence and heart. Something the Tigers will need plenty of come future years.

Funaki looks really solid and muscular, I can see him cracking his way into the team at some point during the year to make his debut.

Expecting a big year from Simona, don't know if it was the jersey or not but his shoulder and chest size was impressive, and on top of that with his speed, I expect him to be one of our best this year in first grade.

Although it is just a 9's tournament, I believe we are already seeing the impacts of Taylor's coaching, our defence looked structured, line speed was good, and I can only see this improving come Round 1.

You'll give yourself a headache if you keep doing that…

Encouraging signs, its nice to see how the inexperienced guys are making the most of things even if it is just a pre season comp. You'd rather they show up instead of get smacked around.

Looking at the standings
Tigers 4 pts +32
Warriors 2 pts +3
Raiders 2 pts -2
Titans 0 pts -33

If the Warriors beat us by 15 or more they pass us, and it gives Canberra a chance of passing us to if they can make up the remainder of the gap. Ultimately, the Warriors have to thrash us for us to miss out. If they win by 14 or less we are through. Barring a complete thrashing of the Titans by Canberra, we should go through top with a decent performance against the Warriors, win lose or draw.
