No Brainers ?

Why are so many on here so attached to players that leave our club. Benji threads, Brown, Miller, Ryan and now Koro, it goes on and on, unbelievable. In most cases if not every, is it really a big loss. Is it just me that thinks like this, cause I can't really say I miss anyone apart from players we wanted to keep, maybe Fifita was one that got away. People do realise that with a change of club some players will excel, but rarely will they become superstars. What gets me most is that these guys aren't really in high demand and some think we have lost someone special.

Releasing Koro was most probably the right decision by the WT. Surely if he was on minimal pay we might have kept him. Releasing him also says there was no future for him. If Richards and Nofo stayed fit , Koro would have stayed in Reggie's. Don't people think that Koro wanted the release. Can't see Koro lasting long in our game if his defence doesn't improve quick, Bellamy will just go for another cheap option.

So the Storm are masters at fixing problem players from other clubs.

I am sure Bellamy was thinking about how much Koro improved when Newcastle scored the match winner last week. Once again Koro badly out of position and mis-reading plays.

We all know he is fast and can score tries but we also know he can't defend.

I don't miss him.

On the other side of the coin, look how many games he won for them by scoring tries. And speaking about defence "cqtiger" more than half our team can't defend. Do we get rid of them all too? Bad call by the club to release him before his contract ran out imo.

Well yes, we do get rid of them if they can't defend to first grade standard. It's a pretty big part of RL.

Unfortunately, we do not have a full first grade side because of injuries. Add to this, our trials and tribulations of the last few weeks and our defence cops it again because attitude is a really big part in wanting to put your body on the line, again and again.

That other side of the coin Mama, wasn't Koro winning games for them … That was Slater, Cronk and Smith doing what they're good at.

To add to the mix, Matt Utai would have come in real handy right about now.
For a small bloke he gave us a fair bit of go forward going between peoples legs ..

For all those who would say he would have been rubbish under the high ball ; i still think he would put Corey Patterson and Rowe both to shame

Have you considered that he is approaching 34 years of age ?

Lol. Yes they are good , Smith is very good at slowing the ruck down with his questionable techniques, Billy goat excels in the grub department, then u have Cooper, a total control freak and an excellent halfback. But all three still need on the outside of them a winger with speed and strength in attack to convert good play the ball in to tries. And Koro provides that for now.

The most frustrating thing is that defence has never been our teams strongest point over the years and my family and i have been following them for a along time now. Defence has to be our no. 1 priority in 2015 and beyond. No more excuses about why we are not defending as we should.

Lets just say this, at his age of that you mention he still wasnt getting injured as much as the younger generation.

I didnt say to sign him up for 2015, just said it would have been handy if he was still hanging around as part of the team in 2014\. We could do with him as opposed to the woeful options we currently have

With Richards and Nofo in front of him, Koro asked for a release so he can play regular first grade. Was good for both parties.

Awesome game Koro had against the Sharks. Seems to be improving every single game. Well done Koro . Looks like he will be playing finals footy and maybe his first grand final.

Koro's killing it at the Storm. They seem to improve players unlike us . We seem to give up on them and let them go. Then regret it when other coaches can get the best out of them Funny that.

Koro was killing it at the Tigers as well. Its not a coaching issue. Richards was a dud signing. It was good for Melbourne.

Massive mistake. How you could have Rowe, Lulia and Patterson ahead of Koro does me.

I don't think any of those played on the wing to hold out Koro did they?
