He isn't playing that badly and he is really having a dig. ???

He was ok against parra but hayne outplayed him after spending weeks injured. ? Apart from that I completely disagree with you. He has had nothing in attack and he hates tackling.

The thing is I don't want him dropped now. That would only make the club look bad. I wanted him dropped 20 weeks ago. Dropping him now makes no difference. Let him play.

But I dont think he'll be dropped, the club & Mayer has handled the entire Benji circus with class

Benji had a real crack the other night. He laid on a few good balls that led to tries or should have. His defense was good and his goalkicking top notch in pressure situations.

I don't think it matters how he performs anymore. Members have made their minds up already.

I just hope this miserable season isn't what he's remembered for longterm. He's a club legend whether he plays 200 games or not.

Last time he was dropped, a lot of fans were upset, and a lot of people were critical of potter. Benji isn't any old footy player, he's one of the biggest in Australia and seeing him dropped is quite a shock to people who only see rugby league as a "I kinda maybe follow it" kinda deal. Him writing this article isn't about him seeing himself above everyone else, it's about him addressing the situation of his poor form in relation to the team, and stating that were he to be dropped again, the reaction from the media needn't be as big as last time. Stop seeing every little action as "oh look at Benji's disrespectful ego this time". It's getting ridiculous you're more obsessed with him than you claim he is. Leave the man be and stop ridin him for every little detail of him life…

I wish he could be dropped but salary cap issues and media frenzy will stop that from happening. The season can't end soon enough so that we all can move on.
