Obviously Madge isn't doing a good job but far out, Tigers players absolutely LOVE pointing the fingers at other people instead of taking accountability for their bad performances. Been that way for a long time

Madge is right saying he needs blokes who take accountability for their games playing for Tigers

We need men ....accountible men

Well we have narrowed down the search by one.

Hmmm this happened 5 weeks ago. How long since you reckon all these Chammas articles have started coming out?

I reckon we have found our rat.

Chammas really doesn't like Madge, Nofa's manager is close mates Chammas as well. That is the motivation behind these articles.

Sam Ayoub the gift that keeps on giving

Bud didn’t that recent article say that Madge is close with the management of Hastings and Gildart; which we then looked in the listings and found Nofo under the banner.
This isn’t really checking out...

Storm in a teacup.

Nofo was hungover once and stripped of leadership. OK, not really a big deal though. We won that week, if everyone recalls, and we won the week after as well, so there wasn't a negative outcome from missing one training session.

The other part of the story - "discontent amongst the players about Maguire". So there bloody should be discontent, they should all be quaking in their boots about what the coach is going to do. They should all be upset that the coach has put them on notice. They should not be comfortable or happy with their performances. They should not be buddies with the coach.

A significant number of players, especially some experienced ones who should know and perform better, are letting the side down and will be on their way out of the club. And yes they would understandably be experiencing discontent.

Don't let yourselves get all wound up by a story stitched together, Frankenstein-like, a month after a non-event. Half the article is spent quoting Wayne Bennett, and Bennett is referring to the Broncos, not Tigers. Bennett spends every press conference having disguised digs at the Broncos, he's still bitter over being dumped.

Exactly what I thought. I was waiting for some sort of punchline or breaking news, only to realise the only facts/evidence in the article were a small indiscretion that happened weeks ago, and some recent quotes from Bennet with possibly no relevance at all to the story they were trying to spin.

I think a lot of people know Nofaluma is 'close' with the chairman...

And that is why he got his absolutely ridiculously long deal...

Despite all our 'moneyball' people like Hartigan saying 4.5 years for a bog average winger was nuts.

Also why he can't be dropped...

This is why we are a joke.

Dropped for who? 4 weeks ago Nofo was the only winger in the top 30.

Chammas found out about the story too late, so he tried to spice it up with innuendo about the playing group being upset.

Of course they are upset, they've only won 5 games all season, they are a rabble.

I hate seeing players working to white ant a coach to force him out. If Madge was to go, they should clear the deck of players as well. Just to show that true accountability has been measured out and to send a message to those left that they don’t have the power to decide who goes and who stays.

There’s no evidence of players white anting the coach. But even if they were and the club axed them as well, they’d get picked up by other clubs. They won’t suffer.

Whether the players suffer or not is not the point.
Once the trouble makers are weeded out, our Club wont suffer any longer and we'll just have blokes that are happy to play for Us.

Everyone has their share of problems but and unless the person has asked for special leave, when this person goes to do a job the employer expects that person to do their job in a professional, reasonable, and acceptable manner, and if these standards are not met by the employee time after time, then the employer has no hesitation to dismiss the employee, it's fair and simple.

"which has been exacerbated by the coach’s post-match comments following the loss to South Sydney."

Well, gee, maybe if the players aimed up and put in the work required on the field, we wouldn't be talking about this?

Maybe the entire 1st grade squad needs to be let go, this just seems to be the same crap we've been hearing for a decade and its infecting new people joining the club.

I don't think it's as bad as it seems, i can see there are still enough good players there who are very dedicated to the team.

You gotta laugh or you would cry. This club is such a mess. Good luck Sheensy, you're going to need it.

Sheens reporting directly to the CEO is all you really need to know.

The CEO that everyone wants to be fired. Yeah that’s ideal.

The CEO has WTs in a strong financial position. We want success and he has delivered. Bringing in Sheens to float is outstanding. It such a wonderfully vague role it is amusing.

The post match comment was a disgrace and if he wants to further alienate and demotivate his players that was the comment to do it.

The multiple sources comment is interesting.

Yeah he could of given them all a gold star for their chart instead. His comment was he needs men that will take accountability if a man can’t cop that and either debate the point as a man or cop it on the chin and change their performance I’m sorry they’re not a man.

Praise in public
Criticise privately

I agree and would normally take this approach. None of us know if this has been going on being the scenes already and it’s just got to a point where Madge has had enough. Sometimes you need a circuit breaker to drive change and maybe Madge’s presser on Sunday was his attempt at that.

Pressure for wins is mounting, the club must definitely be feeling the heat.

Seen this plenty of times before ? same story. Then a new coach will come, make some signing spend the cap, fail and then back to step 1 lol. The never ending cycle of failure

So that means the reasons for lack of success are beyond the coach and players. Is that how you see it?

We've been stuck in the same cycle for years, it's bigger than just players and coaches IMO. We have no identity as a club, no standards no culture.

Sorry, I don’t trust him anymore.

He was talking about the Dragons.

But it was being used in a "Nofa stood down" thread.

Sack him.......and tamou

I wouldn’t be too quick to get rid of Tamou, he is the one who broke the story about the “underlying issues”
Nofa oth ?
Nofa doesn’t have an argument to support his grievances, he’s just craving attention, so he brings in the Bennet quote to support his useless efforts in defence.
It’s not news, we know the club’s decision makers have been busy running the joint into the ground, it’s well recognised throughout the nrl.
Bennet is not the first winning coach to point out the players’ performance being a reflection of the entire organisation, Trent Robinson said much the same thing last year Just before our chooks game, when asked if he had any tips for struggling clubs like the Tigers.
Lee has become part of the problem now.
Which is unfortunate if we’re serious about having PVL’s support to get a home ground. Anyway, he’s already told us what he thinks about our performance, we can share a stadium with the dogs.

How long till Nuffa is scuttling through a hole in the fence at LO to escape the media.

Nofo said,“In the first half our A and B defenders didn’t get up to put pressure than [sic] Moses [Mbye] was getting caught so left 3 on 2 for myself and Jet [James Roberts]. In second half we got up in one line of defence and if you watched 2nd half D’d very well.”

Who were the A and B defenders which Nofo is referring to? Why did we have to wait till the second half to fix this problem? It sounds very amateurish to me,

Clearly if Nofa was asking them to slide they werent listening to him. I think Nofa has lost the ear of his teammates.
