Nofa

I don't believe how everyone is up in arms over Nofa's performance and almost everyone is defending that great lump of lard on the other side of the field.

He has played 20 games for us and done nothing in any one of them. Does he take dirty hit ups - what is that he says. Does he beat opposing players - what is that he says. Is he good at diffusing bombs - what is that he says.

A waste of space. Thanks God his contract is at an end this year.

Back to Nofa - at least he has a go.

Last week he was a champion, this week everyone wants to kill him. Peoples opinions are like his form.

I didn’t see Jennings for 20 mins. It’s not easy to get a panoramic view when the camera only follows the ball. So I can only assume he was doing a lot of work off the ball?

So he’s inconsistent ? Who do you suggest we replace both Jennings and David with

Cupboards empty... please don’t say nobody

That is the problem - we need two new wingers. Who goes first?

To my mind - the bludger... the one who does nothing.

As I said at least Nofa has a go.

The positive news for Nof if the comp gets shut down is he can ignore the travel ban and go see the world. Based off yesterdays performance he's no chance of catching anything.

Post of the year!!!??

? that’s a bit unfair. Kendrick Lee didn’t give him a chance. He just hurdled Nofa as he was catching the ball in a single action. I don’t think Lee even knew he was there?

Who cares? It was a funny post ?

I think the solution could be to move him to the left. The. He’ll defend next to Mbye who has good communication and positioning skills. I’d then have Corey next to BJ on the right providing some speed to capitalise on BJ’s creativity. This also makes it difficult for opposing kickers to decide which side to kick as we’ll have 2 strong runners on either side of the field to take the early hit ups (BJ and Nofa).

corey is a lethal winger.....fullback not so much

we lack height but at least nofo and corey have some smarts to play winger....... (cough excluding nofas poo game against knights)

I would rather a winger that’s great defensively and doesn’t score any tries. Nofa can do some good things in attack but he is one of the worst edge defenders I have ever seen play. The sooner he is out of the team the better. Jennings cops a lot of flack on here but I am yet to see him make one error so far

He doesn't make any errors, because he doesn't do anything!

He is a BLUDGER!!! of the highest order.

I believe the AFP have had him under surveillance for 18 months now - they are about to swoop and charge him with fraud.

Pretending to be a footballer.

Bludger? He makes well over 100 metres every game. He does his job. Good defender good under the high ball. He is in no way a ‘bludger’.

Jennings v Knights 72m.....Nofoaluma 202m..

180 meters was Nofoluma giving chase
You can't count that
I don't know why so many defend Nofoluma when Nofoluma can't defend himself
So many tries are scored down his side
When there is one there always seem to be 2 or 3 more
It always appears to be the go to side for attacking teams
Nofoluma has an uncanny ability to make himself look bad and other teams single him out
Edrik Lee had a field day
So did Jason Nightingale a few years back
It was a carbon copy and I would say that Newcastle watched the tape of that game and many others to catch Nofoluma out

If someone can get the stats on how many tries have been let in down our right hand edge when Nofoluma plays I think it would provide some insight to his defence
Especially against kicks

I think anyone would find it hard to find a worse defender on the wing then Nofoluma
With similar amount of games under thier belt

We have all said it
Defence wins games

Yeah I'm over him.
His best highlights are from years past.

Two new wingers would be preferable. Hopefully this Bradley kid coming up can be one, then we only need to find one more. (Corey is too small, and not fast enough.)

Rapana, I would seriously have a crack at him. Teaching BJ a new combination may just be impossible, get a ready made one might just do us wonders. Only for this year and 2021.

I don't blame him for all but he does play a big part in the defensive failures

Just on the Newcastle game is an interesting stat or two
Post contact meters
Nofoluma 33
Jennings 32
But
Nofoluma had 16 Runs
Jennings had 10 runs
Both had 3 tackle busts
Nofoluma had more opportunity
In the tackling department it was
Jennings 13
Nofoluma 4
Some other missed tackle stats for the game

Bradley originally was a five eighth (i stand to be corrected) but he is tall, not sure about speed

Bugger. So we have Benji, Reynolds, Momo, Doueihi, Bradley, Talau all five eighths. Hopefully one'll be good moving forward. Hopefully a good centre and maybe a fullback in there too.

Those missed tackles for Walters can be fixed easily through experience.... was crappy game for nofo overall and BJ

None of our wingers are good enough. That is just the fact.

Jennings is fairly solid. He doesn't do a lot wrong, defends okay, and his hit ups are okay, but he has no real impact on the game and lacks pace. Nofo on the other hand does a lot of work, takes a lot of hit ups, can get our sets going forward often. but defends dreadfully, is a guarantee to drop the ball at least once every match and lacks pace despite some views on here.

Jennings will not be re-signed at the end of the year. Nofo could potentially be one of our contracted players who gets a buyer, but it would have to be this year...he is 27. I would consider Rapana, but he wouldn't be my preference, would rather us look at someone alot younger.

Will end up at Souths my bet. To join his brothers Walker, Roberts and Mitchell. Not professional enough to realise it's not about being with your mates, but being with something more. Or maybe I'm just envious they seem to have a culture there that's accepting and more inclusive and people who identify as Aboriginal want to be there.

Either way, I can't see him back at the Tigers.
