Noffa gone for the season?

According to some on here we need to hire some witch doctors and some snake oil doctors to find magical cures

If you want to blame anyone it would be recruitment taking chances on players with previous medical issues

We have had some freak injuries occur to players over the years

Injuries catch up to every team , look at Penrith even they are getting some serious injuries now

Maybe they aren't as tough as they used to be , some of us older folks played with worse injuries than Noffas

Looking on the bright side we get the chance to blood up to two new wingers in first grade and they may go all right. Sorry Potter but now is the time to bring in these players whether you like it or not. Please do not select any spare parts (i.e. Thompson and Luilia in the centres) players.

Just tired of it the team would be a top 8 team if we had everybody, I know the odd injury happens but its ridicukous the amount we get and how serious they all are,

no one gets more concussed then our players, one bloke had to retire from it
Tedesco gets a rare injury thats a 6 month one you never see that.
Farah was out 5 weeks from a dislocated elbow which also is rare.

Patterson hurts a finger is out 2 months, I am sure Richards Groin problem will be a Terry Hill type injury that lasts 2 weeks to 5 months

If we had a lot of soft tissue issues we could blame the medical staff, but we seem to have an inordinate of impact and twisting injuries, they are just bad luck…..

Our problem is that we don't have a good enough structure to allow our depth players to hit the ground running. Look at teams like Manly, Bulldogs, Storm. They get hit with injury just as much as most teams but it doesn't seem like it because they can adapt so easily. Glenn Stewart and Watmough have been out for weeks and Manly's back row are still able to produce the same form week in and week out.

Yes but Manly were right back to the pack without Brett Stewart. Melbourne are ordinary without Smith. Souths suck without GI. We would manage without Aaron Woods. We'd manage without Chris Lawrence. But we can't manage without Tedesco, Farah + half a dozen other players. It's not a fair comparison.

So if it's a partial tear and some are saying you can play with it like he obviously has been doing for some time, but with risk does that signal the end of our season ?
I know we are still well and truly in the mix but has the players, staff and management given up the ghost looking at our run home.

These long term injuries, week after week, year after year, are completely demoralizing - I have had a gutful of them!

As long as he had stability he was fine

But if the knee isn't stable the risk isn't worth it

But I think that's where Potter is hugely different than Sheens , he has faith (rightly or wrongly) in his full squad that they can do a job .

Our medical team are so unbelievably inept.
Did they all get their qualifications out of a McDonalds Happy Meal or something?

My bucket list ..
Just one season without any injuries … Just one !

All teams have injuries and plenty of them, some teams just get on with it far better than others

This has been raised for a few years re amateur hour with in the support set up …. Jobs for the boys ,rather than professional people . So disappointing after such a great start , there is always next year the Magpie Motto.

I think the "jobs for the boys" thing is more getting old mates of the club to help out when you can't afford professionals.

I am happy with Peter Moussa's call to pull Nofo out now, rather than playing roulette with his ACL waiting for it to rupture on the field.. It would have been nice to squeeze a few more games out of Nofo when we're struggling, but I'm sick of watching our boys get crippled out there. We need to be getting these sorts of calls right more of the time, rather than sending blokes out hurt and getting punished for it.

Well, crap.

Good luck noffa. It's funny that braith got injured after his best performance for us and the same happens to noffa.

Were so farked.

You got me thinking. What would Ali say about this.
