Nofoaluma Out Until Round 4

I think the difference is that Noffa is a potential Origin player. Sure, the Fresh Prince may have some early season form but once Noffa gets some kilometres in the legs he will be first choice every time.

Sorry don't see SOO in Nofouloma future

He would need to add some bulk imo

The Fresh Prince is an eight-time Fijian Test player in his own right.
A very good player and an excelent buy for us.
Love his defence and attack so far. It will be interesting to see what JT will do, when David comes back from injury.

Lawrence always has…..Tedesco as well

Lawrence is highly favoured - coaches seem to be blind to his deficiencies and Tedesco is a freak player with Xfactor. Not sure where Nofo stands, but he may well have to come through reggies first, having been out for so long.

Good post Flip. I hope JT shows some tough love with Chris and any other player, that's not willing to work hard and improve all facets of their game.

. And speed Nofo is not that fast for a winger

You know this isn't a revelation probably to anyone, but I just realised yesterday that our two blokes who cracked their kneecaps did so after reneging on contracts with other clubs, and after having done their ACL (season-ending) the year prior. Spooky.

LOL
Every player in the joint should be informed of this

Yep.

Tedesco was an impact injury though and I assume Molts kneecap split because he had an infection behind it from ACL surgery. Amazing Karma….

I think theres a little too much and premature excitement around the fresh prince. He's played ok in a few trials, if anyone has him ahead of nofo or think nofo will find it hard to get his spot back, I think you better have a lie down. Im willing to bet the same people waving the fresh prince flag right now will be calling for his head during the season (if he gets many games, hopefully he doesn't)

Well he's been our stand out back so far in pre-season. Why shouldn't one talk up our best performing player? The team should be picked on form, not reputation, and that goes for Lawrence, Nofo, Simona, Naiqama etc… If anyone isn't fit or in form, they should be dropped.

Kevin was one of our best in the Nines and the trials. He has always been a good and reliable player. Yes, he is a little fella , but don't let his size fool you. He's strong, fast, has good hands and can read the play well. And that's exactly what we need. I really don't think he will let the team down, unlike some. He will be given a chance to show us that he deserves his spot.

my biggest concern is he's gonna take that position and not let go :/

If that is the case, the player with the biggest concerns will be Rowdy.

If our first month is good, Nofo will need a injury from one of the outside backs to get a call up, if not he may spend a extended period in the lower grades.

Nofo is a great finisher, he also is great at the dirty yards game, but he has some problems with his defense, but being on the wing you do get exposed to other peoples mistakes

Nofo Played centre in his junior days, and I'm pretty sure in Under 20's he was a well rated centre as well.

He's never struck me as fast enough to be a winger, so yes, I agree both Lawrence and Simona should be looking over their shoulders if both Patty and Kevin fire.

Kevin played centre for the Panthers premiership winning NSW cup team last year,so there are a few options and a few players who need to perform.

do you know if he played centre most of the season?
would really like him to get a crack at centre this year.

prefer nofo stay on the wing.
when a kick goes to his side i feel totally relaxed.
wish they would post a stat for kicks defended.i think he would be near the top.
makes plenty of hard yards and is an excellent finisher.
speed is way down the list for a winger in my mind.

Naiqama played at left centre a lot last season. Can't say how many times he played in which positions, but he had a good combination with his winger and played centre most times I saw them throughout the season.

But he's equally good at wing or centre, some players can fill in at other positions but perhaps not excel. He's probably the most versatile back we have right now.

You're right 851\. Kevin's preferred position is playing in the centres. But he's pretty good as a fullback and in the wing too. What a great buy.
