Nostalgia

I am listening to JF's autobiography, and this makes me sad. He was so broke, he agreed to do this ad, with baby Robert's bare bum 🥺
wonder if Robert sued like the baby on the Nirvana (?) album.as harmless as it was that ad would not be tolerated today in any form

As you well know SQ, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do, to make ends meet. Probably like a lot of people on here , when I was much younger and newly
married, I worked 3 jobs to try and get my foot in the door, it seemed never ending for about 5 long years but it proved worth it and enabled us to buy our first house, which we parlayed into subsequent buys.
But it was tough and I’m sure JF did what he had to do as well !
Of course, we all do what we have to. 3 jobs was certainly a thing when we were young. When I bought my first home, I had to sign a stat Dec saying I would not get pregnant until the 2 personal loans we had were discharged. Can you imagine asking a 19 year old to sign something like that now!!

I loved the Traversi- Jones hardware shop in Ashfield... It was dark & dingy, had sawdust on.the floor in some parts... Always had an oily smell to it Ioved as a kid whenever I'd go with the old man
I went there every Saturday morning with my dad. The blokes working there knew everything about everything.
Ican still smell that place.

Ghastly stuff, yank rubbish masqerading as real cheese and i love cheese
But growing up JT for me , and many others, this was cheese, remember we had very unsophisticated palates way back when !
Now I wouldn’t eat it if I got it free. I’m quite taken with the value and variety at Aldi. It’s not top drawer but you can always seem to find something tasty , imo.( maybe I’m still not sophisticated ).
