The day we changed from pounds shillings and pence to dollars and cents.I still remember the jingle that we used to be bombarded with on the TV and radio.

I remember when I was young (12) I went to the 1969 GF on my own. Mum got a ticket for me to the game from our home in Green Valley (a shit hole) - in the Sheridan Stand back then. She had some work friends take me with them to the SCG. That night I stayed at my Nan's place in Bondi. She had 2 types of TV back then - Black and White. I was allowed to stay up late and watch the Rex Mossop "Club Show," which was a bit of a blur, especially when Sid Williams was "interviewed." I miss the simple things in life.

I remember that they had to redesign the plastic coffee spoons cos they were originally shaped to be a perfect cocaine hit. They then produced spoons with holes to prevent the undesired attraction in their toilets!
