It's as bad a high shot as I've seen during that period; even if you consider the silly Coby Hetherington one as not a good baseline for comparison, all the other ones were players were marched were as bad as the Sivo one - very high facial contact, stiff arm, blood drawn from player's face, player removed for and fails HIA.
Now I'm fine if NRL decides the Sivo contact is sin-bin and not send-off, but that's not how they've been reffing it the past month.
Sivo is facing suspension (MRC) for his grub act as he should be.Brooks and Amone getting fines only.
Isaiah Papali'i (Parramatta Eels) Grade 1 Contrary Conduct $1,150 fine.
Now that is a joke, right. Drop your full weight via your knee on a player's head (Lucy) and all you get is a fine. Absolute joke.
I think the Forum could take up a collection of $2300.00 and next time we play them - get someone to drop their knee on the "Tanker" and a knee on "the King of Crap."
The punishments don't fit the crimes do they?
Players suspended for high tackles that aren't intentional, yet a blatant and deliberate knee drop to the face gets a $1,000 fine. Crazy...
Definitely deserved a send off - Sivo deserved one too.
