Btw does anyone have the wording of this agreement that keeps being cited? I am aware of some basic undertakings agreed to by the Balmain and Wests boards but I can't say I have seen any written binding charter. Gets quoted like gospel around here so I wouldn't mind having a look at it. Can anyone help?

Acting like professionals trying to work with Wests Tigers to make sure this oversight is addressed and does not occur again.

Previously it would have been calls of betrayl, throwing the toys out of the cot and doing all of this without so much as a call to Concord to try and clarify.

A strong and proffessional Magpies board who want to preserve heritage and work with Wests Tigers and understand the concept of compromise for mutual goal is a missing puzzle piece and it is great it is being addressed

I love my Balmain Tigers and like everyone else wasn't happy when we were told, for our survival, the only way ahead was to merge.
I love rugby league and grew up playing and watching footy over 30yrs ago.
I remember the days of the Maggies being known as one of the toughest teams and I always liked and respected them.
Around the time of the merge there were rumors of us joining with the eels. Oh O!
I think that could have been disastrous.
Manly and North Sydney had joined and it was falling apart for the Bears. As we all now know, it failed.
What I'm saying is that I couldn't be happier with being a joint venture with the Western Suburb Magpies and incase you guys had forgotten, we were the first joint venture to win a premiership.
Let's give all the Wests and Balmain supporters a fair go. I want to continue to see a Maggie on the sleeve and wear our predomanantly black jersey more often. I don't want to see a repeat of the northern beagles.
We are now the Wests Tigers and I love my team.

Bingo! I'm not saying there is no agreement, it just seems to be quoted by some as if they have a copy sitting in front of them. I'd just like to know what it says exactly.

As a previous "Wests Magpie" supporter I **don't** feel angry about this issue. :question:
I'll always remember my days as a Wests Magpie supporter but I now support the WESTS TIGERS! :smiley:
I think most people forget that without the merger none of us would have a club to support in 2012! :brick:

I understand that people are upset about the missing magpie and that is fine

But something we really need to think about and recognize is that stories in the press negatively affecting the club or players will effect the players performances on the field

Isn't that the one thing we should of taken from 2011

Starting with the carryover from the Lui incident ,the MacDonalds incident ,the Fifita \Gibbs \Blair issues ,Moltzen issue , The Sheens signing or leaving ,Rhino \Beau to Penrith etc

Strange that we didn't start playing to our full potential until all of these situations had been fully dealt with

so we've established:
1) u dont see ppl complaining that balmain isnt in the name
