Not confident

I get that horrible feeling we are going to lose a close one (possibly golden point) and this place is going to go into meltdown. We traditionally struggle out there, doesn't matter how good or bad Penrith are. Last year we played a reserve grade Penrith side and struggled and got a lot of luck. Every other year we have been belted out there bar a 1 point win in 2007/. Penrith are really going to be up for it this week, they haven't won at home in 6 goes. So the pressure and expectation is just as much on them, they will be as desperate. Luke Lewis always causes us nightmares and there high kicking game will target us all day long. There generally a team with some tries in them.

I sense a bit of overconfidence in the supporters this week. Last week people were praising us our effort against Brisbane. Well we were never in the game and if Brisbane didn't bomb 2 certain trys it would have been 30-4 with 5 minutes left. It was a brave effort however we were totally over powered and outclassed. We were never in that game and were generally terrible in attack, with our kicking game and with our shape non existent.

I just get that feeling we have not quite bottomed out and this week the …. is really going to hit the fan. I will never rule out this team until they get to about 3-10 because we are a side that can go on 5-8 game winning streaks. We will beat Parra and the Gold Coast, so there are wins around the corner but this week im not so confident. its shaping up as another one of those lost, wsated and inexusable years were we finish 9th to 12th.

Let's see how we go but we have never won 2 years in a row at Panther park.

Last year I went with the wife and father in law, both panthers fans, we smashed them by almost 40.
I have faith we can pull this together, I'm praying, we need this

It was 32-18 from memory. With it being 16-12 with twenty to go when we got an 80 metre intercept try. They dead set had a reserve grade side that night and we were flying at the time.

hard to be confident about the tigers playing anyone right now! :frowning:

it wouldnt surprise me at all if they lost to the panthers this week, but as you say, there is still plenty of time to get it together.
havent read too much on here about the broncos game, but i thought they were lucky not to lose by 40, not 4 points! on the bright side, they did a ton of defending and kept them to 18, so at least there is that… who knows?

we all hope they win every week, and lets hope this can be the turnaround week for them.

I don't think tigers will get away with this one. Walsh will give moltz nightmares

Funny Im feeling good about this one.

Its definitely a drop in class to who we have played so far.

Im expecting a good win in style.

We keep hearing the 'still plenty of time' line every week, but sooner or later time is going to begin to run out. And it doesn't take long when you only have one win on the board. This week is must win. Its now or never

I reckon we can drop a absolute maximum of 4 games from now on to still be a chance of making Top 4

Have seen a few posts that are expecting an easy victory and even scoring 40 plus points, what that is based on i dont know but i only hope the confidence comes to fruition.

Walsh will be bombing Moltzen and Lote all night with very speedy chases coming through to put heaps of pressure on. Lewis will be running all over the outside backs and offloading at will. The Panthers know how to offload so I think there will be expect plenty of second phase play that will catch us out. I know it sounds like all doom and I hope I am wrong but I just can't see where our next win is going to come from. The Tigers, as usual and more than ever are extremely difficult to predict. Actually I'll change that, I think you have a good chance if predicting a bad result for us these days. It kills me to say it, but I am at the stage now where I just don't know what to think about them anymore.

Yes it is a drop in class but that's whats worries me
We should we win but probably wont

We are under pressure to win/perform & WE DON'T HANDLE PRESSURE WELL

On current form I don't know how Wests Tigers are favourites for this one on sportsbet as shown on NRL on FOX last night.

Moltzen at full back being bombed all night by Walsh.

Penrith have given us problems in the past.

Fitness cloud over Big Keef

Everyone needs to step up if we are to get our season on track.

We've had a 72 hour head start and Penrith are in woeful form.

We'll win comfortably.

(If we don't, we really are in a world of trouble)

I think we will win…but does that mean I'm confident? I reckon around 70-30...we SHOULD win.

I'm watching the Brisbane replay now and there were promising signs and Brisbane were good. If Benji had of gone short to Lawrence in the corner after that Moltzen break, it would have been 4 or 6 nil. Broncos went to 10 nil not long after. It's all sliding doors but still it's a possible 16 point turnaround.

What also gives me confidence is I'm missing Sunday's game for a wedding and it'll be the only game I've missed this year apart from the Sharks in rd1!

We also play better on Sunday arvos (someone got a stat on that?)

I don't care if we win by 1 point...let's just win Tigers!

Eddie, quote - 'we will beat Parra and Gold Coast' - i'll believe it when i see it. That sounds very confident to me, if not cocky especially if you are right and penrith beats us.
