Not Finding Touch

I honestly think we don't practice this. I see other sides kickers make big meters every time and land it 10m into the crowd. We make 15m or don't find touch at all.

Closer to the line is actually harder to break...

They are allowed to go back as far as they want they could walked to the 10 and tapped it

Did you ever think about left and right positioning?
To perhaps to play one or two in the middle third to draw in the defence before attempting to break the line…

And how did that work out for them hmmm??

If Moltzen has reportedly the biggest kick in the side why is he not doing it . Can understand when want to try and hit a mark inside opposing team half , but when we are 20-50 metrs out from own line isn't the idea to get yardage ???? to set up attack ???

Lui must have the weakest boot of the main four . If rumours about Moltzens kicking is true I would of thought distance wise it would go
1 Moltzen
2 Marshall
3 Farah
4 Lui
If you wish to include Miller I would of thought he would be distance wise about the same as Farah Would that be right ??

Dunno where these reports of Moltz having the biggest boot in the club came from.
But what i have witnessed is Benji with his 60m drop outs, and Lawrence has a very strong boot also.

my banner and i got on the big video screen and on tv when they ran out at the start of the game. i was on the 10 metre line front row of the eastern stand. the 10 metre line near the video screen

The whole world saw it. It was shown at the start of the live show. Couldn't see who was holding it though 😕

teams kick backwards into touch all the time when there on the opposition's line to do exactly what you said,create space,however they don't do it when they're under the goal posts and they don't kick it backwards 20m :crazy

You obviously missed my other post regarding playing up the middle third of the field to draw in defenders. Penalties closer infield bring on other possible options such as taking the easy 2pts. And they do kick backwards and out to touch from closer infield. I see it done nearly every weekend.
Take a closer look to attacking formations from when a ball is tapped from a kick out or a tap taken on the spot, you might notice extended backlines in some cases where backrowers, fullbacks may add to it.

Some teams will even create a 2nd deeper backline behind the first one which sweeps around creating "back runners" who chime in. This formation is much less likely to happen from a tap taken in the middle third.

You kick back to get some room, try and get a roll on and create gaps.
10m to work with is much easier than 1m when theyre defending their line. You have lazy players, poor marking, and shooting out of line with just a little bit of space.
Those kicks for touch make perfect sense for a team like tigers.

The list goes on

same old stuff thats been happening the past 5 years, and I blame the coach for it all, because there has been different players each year but the same mistkaes happen

Thats what I used to explain to my son about that tactic, but the last two times they have done it, its two passes to a forward who gets belted right in the middle of the field within a couple of meters fowhere the penalty was given. May as well have taken the tap, tucked it under the arm and run straight. no difference.
