Not one position we are better than Penrith in

Not the team I would've selected….Potter has big wraps on Luani for some reason...our only advantage over Penrith is the LO factor and sadly it wont be enough,,,will be interested to see how Austin goes at #1.

The point re Potter and big wraps on Luani is a worry in itself , he would have to be quick to make that judgment as Luani is gone after 10 mins of any game ,my reservation about Potter being signed just won't go away…..maybe others are having similar thoughts .

We're going to paste them.

Every time you come out and say stuff like this, we get flogged.

I don't think we have a hope in he'll. We have proven we can't score points with Farah missing.

And Penrith will struggle to score points without Soward He might be named but it is highly doubtful he will play

It all comes down to us outdefending Penrith , if we can do that we can win

I wouldn't expect a points extravaganza though

Luani is in the side because of his defence

Bit harsh people. What a lot of you are saying is we might as well not show up.

What is Nick Kyrgios had your attitudes?

Defence wins games…I guess after last weeks reorganised attacking strategy Potter believes we can score points...I'll be there with my 2 sons....lets hope the rain stays away this time!

I'm a little confused. What is this thread trying to achieve? Stupid question i know given who the OP is but still. So we have deduced that they have a better side then us on paper this week, what now? You really are the king of hyperbole Milkster.

I don't like our chances with half our team out with injury or origin. That's why we seriously need to look at signing Carney. 5x key players dropped like flies last week and 3x players won't be back anytime soon. If we want the tigers to finish strong this year we need quality first grade players and the team announcement this week well what can I say. I'd like to add the discraceful refereeing week in week out. I'm sure the refs have a grudge against us for some reason. It's getting to the stage where it's ruining the game and for the life of me and Mick Potter doesn't seem to address the issue. I'm at a stage where I'm reluctant to watch the game because of these refs.

We don't need Carney as much as Potter needs balls.

Cos benching Marshall and Farah in his first season after yrs of Sheens doesn't show any balls? Right right.

In the end it only matters on the scoreboard what position we are in and if its a one point win like last week (despite the heart attacks ) I'll be happy

It doesn't have to be pretty because we don't have to draw a picture

Two points is two points

Im happy with the way things are panning

I dont expect miracles or major depth overnight (possibly never when it comes to depth)

The attitude and culture shift thats evident at present is enough for me

The factors in the background (board, sponsors, money, training base) will play more a part in everything over the next few years, than anything on field

A decent high performance unit would be nice too. Sick of the two dozen injured players that we cop every single year.

Interestingly last week when we lost players through injury and had seven sets on our try line I am sure people would have thought we would have caved in and lost the game. It is heart and effort that wins you games not the side that is named.

Remember 2005 we had a great team but a list not as good as the Dragons on paper and well History showed what a team does against a list.

Get out to Leichhardt on Sunday and cheer the team home

Benching Farah shows balls? Pft my backside. Shows stupidity, it is like Bellamy benching Smith or Cronk halfway through a game whilst losing.

If he had balls Lawrence would be in NSW Cup right now, bloody hell Cleary had his captain in reggies last week.

We have a hooker in our side who is terrible, two centres who wouldn't do … all against Ayshford.

Our Bench is beyond terrible, dont get me started about having our most impactful player in our starting side and our second most impactful player being rewarded the week off for not turning up to his game on time.

I am sure that you would be devestated if you got the day off work wouldn't you?

How arrogant is it for people to say its lack of balls thats preventing Potter from dropping players, especially when he has a track record of making the hard decisions. God forbid he doesn't share your expert opinions on how the team should be selected and thinks Lawrence should be in the side for other reasons, no, he must not have the balls pffft.

Btw, great sidestep on the Benji benching. I guess that didn't take balls either did it, dropping the clubs star playmaker of the previous 10 yrs who was underachieving?

Penrith will win by plenty, probably 20 plus, they have a very well balanced team with strike power everywhere. Defending the Raiders will not be like defending the Panthers.

Even at full strength we would have struggled and although I think Potters team selections are wrong, I dont think any combination we could muster at present would beat the Panthers. In fact I think our next win could be a long long way off, mainly because of injuries but Potters ultra conservative approach to team selections and tactics is not helping.

Anyway time will tell, but I say it will get ugly on Sunday, they will try their guts out but be hopelessly out classed

This thread is almost as good as the one recently that had someone predicting every result for the rest of the year … anyone pick the sharks to
beat the broncos last week ?

If sport was played on paper then spain would be playing a world cup 1/4 final this weekend & Costa Rica's team would be at home .

I just love how Luke Brooks answers questions….he knows his role, is confident in his ability and says it without being at all cocky...very reassuring!

Folks we have a real winner in Brooks!
