Seems like you're talking from what you prefer moreso than how it actually is.

(released before Muse's 1st album) Is hardly a 'Basic Composition'


There's a link to Muses first release (in 1997) Nothing overly complexed about the compositions at all to speak of... (knowing the minor chords doesn't make it a complexed song)

You do realise some bands had to work to get where they got? Most don’t just have it given to them because of a gimmick or that their front man resembles someone far more interesting?
Silverchair were good but their music is forgettable compared to their peers who did it much better and for far longer.
 
I knew they started out young thats all I know.
Anyway, I don't care, love Muse.
 
And....should never compare someones taste in music to yours, we are all different and something clicks inside of you when you hear something in particular.
At least we are blessed to be able to hear music.

Like I said, Your argument is about your preference.
There's plenty of people who'd argue the exact opposite.

Your claim Muse were "Selling out stadiums and writing complexed music as teenagers"
was incorrect...

ps: Silverchair started out in Australia - A million miles from anywhere, With a total population of around 17 million at the time I'd reckon...
Went on to have massive followings in the US, Canada, South America and Europe.
Touch harsh to say they didn't earn what they got.
And the only bands from around that rich time for music that lasted longer at that level
- Were probably Foo Fighters and Pearl jam.
Not bad for a few kids from a big country town in Australia

Everytime I’ve responded to your posts, I’ve said the band you like is good. Everytime you’ve responded, you did the opposite. It is your argument that is heavily preferenced.
They were good, but to me their music sounded like kids wrote it, it was very basic stuff, they were heavily promoted due to their gimmick, gaining almost a free ride compared to others who took years honing their craft before hitting it big, - Muse included - and essentially they were thoroughly over rated and time has proven this.
