NOW WHERES THE FORWARD SIGNINGS?

The No 10 for the Broncos is killing it

Wonder if we can pick him up for a steal , say 500 k ??

That's because Bennett told him to just do 2 things: Run the ball hard. Defend his territory.
Like Jack Gibson would say "keep it simple Stupid"
So many coaches over complicate the game, try to make some players what they are not.
This is where Sheens stuffed Blair.

Did he need to be told that at the Tigers, run hard and defend? What a joke.

Blair is a first class grub IMO. How he can try so hard for the Broncos while being paid by us, yet put half the effort in when he was actually with us is shameful.

I think it says more about us allowing him to be the player he was with us…we set the bar much lower than most Im thinking

This club has gone Farah mad. Is Farah going or staying? If he is staying is he playing NSW Cup all season. It looks like Ava has to wait whilst Captain Farah returns from his holiday and makes a decision.

I think the whole thing is revolving around Farah he stays no new forwards he goes probably sign a few including Ava.

Explain how you will sign Ava and a few others if Farah leaves. Very interested

Quite simply, if Farah leaves or if plays his remaining WT career in State Cup this will impact on the number of available WT first grade forwards. Ava and a few others will then need to be signed.

Yet the amount of cap space will remain unless another club picks up a chunk of Robbie's salary…

what crap JT has been signing heaps of backs, when we need forwards the bloke is a loser, no matter if robbie stays or goes, it wont make any differance.

@Newtown said:
Has JT sole responsibility for choosing new signings?

I think so and I think he is doing a pretty decent job in that regards. Our backs have been the problem over the last couple of years especially the depth.

Yep seems to be a long standing pattern with us. A player that looks to be a good signing often ends up being lazy and ineffective once they're here, because they're allowed to be!

Over the years we've had many, who I thought would be good buys, not live up to their form once they got here - O'Hara, Harris, Graham, Lolesi, Buettner, Simon and Blair to name a few. You could probably add Galloway to that list and even locals Benji, Collis, Teo and Ayshford were eventually affected by the lazy bug that seems to be prevalent at this club.

Time to kill off that bug, me thinks - or else it will keep happening.

I'd be having a good look at Adam Docker. Still off contract at Penrith if I'm not mistaken.

hopefully having a few of the Panthers staff helps us get a few of their better players.
They've got back rowers lined up around the block.

Adam Docker would be great but worried about the number of concussions he has had.

Would add to our defence.

Have we resigned Ava? Thought he had a break out season in 2015 and one of the only forwards we have that can break the line.

I think this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard from an NRL coach and club….the thing about Farah playing NSW Cup. What ever happened to picking a player on form? If Farah's form is good enough he should be playing NRL ...or SOO according to Daley.

I seriously hope he stays and forces the hand of the imbecile Taylor into picking him.

I agree. Plus it turns out our performance training staff were only half qualified while he was with us…so many amateur aspects about the Tigers, it's just not good enough. When you attract top quality talent, you need to be able to keep them.

Blair is a lazy player. Will not put in unless he has too. With us he knew he wouldn't get dropped, so he bludged most of the time. He only put the effort in when it suited him, started playing a bit better, after years of bad press about his performances with us and of course when the NZ selections were coming round.
He plays his best game at the Broncos, because he knows Bennett wouldn't hesitate to drop him.

He was dragged in to the board to explain why he wasn't putting in early in the season things changed..this is the difference between them and our club they do not tolerate mediocrity.

Can you imagine our board doing that with Farah?

Blair has a reputation of being an amazing trainer without great work ethic.

His form here would not be related to him being lazy. I also thought his poor form was greatly exaggerated due to the price tag associated to him.

I think Edwards is a reasonable signing as a forward who can add to our depth and do a reasonable job in first grade.
