Drought-face Crawley doesn't seem quite sure on his stance re: clubs showing club legends no loyalty or respect. He has spent months slagging WT off for not bowing down to lick the feet of his mate Benji and offer him a contract for this year. Yet when the Adam Reynolds saga was being discussed (including another panel members legit argument that Souths had disrespected Reynolds by releasing the statement that Reynolds has been on a very restricted training regime for years.....thus reducing his attractiveness to other clubs), hypocrite Crawley stated "I can see where Souths are coming from".
The Big Dry is an absolute knobber of a journalist.

100% correct, that hack Crawley is Bennett's hand puppet, will never say anything bad about him or his current club, has shown this time and time again. That clown never has anything good to say about our club, mainly because of the large following that it has and this "click bait" type journalism guarantees a large number of hits.

Souffs and their supporters have been nothing but filthy scum since 1909.

Not sure if they were any better in 1908, but I'm fair and reasonable and will give them the benefit of the doubt.

I can only dream about them being forced to merge with the Roorters, or just kick 'em out and don't let 'em back in this time.

Glory, glory to that.

I have it on good authority that Souffs where equally as bad in 1908 as they are now.

I flicked over to Fox League and NRL 360 was on. They were discussing Adam Reynolds contract and Benji said his advice would be to look after himself.

They then discussed Best New Recruits and Paul Kent mentioned his choice was Daine Laurie and discussed player of the round which deservedly was Paps from Melbourne at which time our former turnstile five eight sniggered “ and the Tigers let him go”.

He would have known we were all in for Tedesco at the time and we all know how that turned out.

I appreciate what Benji did for us early in his career, however never want to see him back at the West’s Tigers

**well we didn't re-sign Paps at the time so we did let him go**

Actually we offered him more than Melbourne, so we didn't let him go, he chose to go. Just like Melbourne chose to offer him around to every club prior to the 2020 season but had no takers. Sometimes you get lucky.
Caveat - the above in no way excuses our other poor roster management.

You can't be "letting someone go" when you make them a contract offer. Tigers made Paps an offer, he left for basically the same offer at the Storm.

Did we let Moses go by not renewing his contract or did he sign elsewhere. We told him we were not resigning him
I know Paps family he left as they thought he would be behind tedesco he didn't want to go he wanted to stay in Sydney

Arguably yes, we let Moses go, because we pulled his deal. He didn't help matters by letting the deal go idle.

If you look at it that way, we also let Woods and Tedesco go as well as we gave them deadlines that they ignored. All 3 of them chose to leave. Worst part was, their minds were made up a long time before any of us knew.

Pretty sure the Woods and Tedesco offers were never formally withdrawn? Deadlines for an offer are one thing, withdrawing the offer completely in favour of other players is something else. Tigers withdrew the Moses offer, he immediately asked for a release.

Let’s be real , the quickness in which the eels deal was organised , means it was already agreed to . This myth that it was only because we pulled the deal is crap . Clearly the club got wind that he wasn’t staying .
I’m not defending them , but let’s call a spade a spade .

Absolutely. Any player who requests a release has already been in long-term discussions with another club and reached an agreement in principle. No decent player leaves without walking straight into another contract.

They left and won't be back ...and you could argue that seeing we still haven't made a Final series ...correct call

Again I wish I could screw things up like the WT's have in my job and still have the full support of the fans / shareholders

With Paps, he was always a start in the lower grades. Yes his best position is fullback but Storm brought him on the bench first and then slowly in to the starting side. We could've held on to him IMO, no matter what position.

In fact that was even before I canceled our FOXTEL couple of weeks back. Too many Murdoch journos that I detest like Crowley and Rothfield.
Anyway off the subject .... but some may be interested to know what’s available ..... Was paying $79 per month for everything but still recon overpriced.
Anyway now we get 1/2 price FOXTEL NOW for 3 months (@half price $39) deal which includes most things including sport on streaming and still enough change from my $79 for my Netflix and if I added things like Disney+, Stan and Prime Video.

If it's not too much to ask, but would you be able to explain how you've managed to do it?
I'm just a little uncertain of the last couple of sentences and wondered if you could elaborate, as I'm extremely interested.
Thanks

Between Stan, Netflix, Disney+, Kayo and Prime Video I pay $70 and I get more than what I ever did from Foxtel for $120.

Roberts doing a good job there so far. He looked like a tank yesterday.

Kiah is big too wonder what position he’ll end up
