When we don't have players to make finals realistically, is dropping players and being hard on them really the right call? Lol. It's not like they are Burgess Inglis Tedesco and not performing. Know what I mean? It's a bog average lineup who tried.

Yes I know what you are highlighting.

We don't have the quality and experience in some positions to make the 8.

This is a separate issue to players not performing.

They should be thankful, being treated like class players. They can only dream..

Ok so in my view there are a few ways we can look at this.
Firstly the players are right and madge is moving them around too much.

Does that change our position or talent? Probably not. In my eyes though the players, cant have bloody crap games and expect to be in the top grade. For the first time in a long time players have been held accountable.
With that being said we only have a half a dozen first-graders in my opinion so I don't blame madge for throwing different combinations in to find out what works.

secondly, your employer expects a standard and for you to follow their rules and expectations. If your not meeting those standards or not following company directions you get booted.
Both really lead to the same conclusion in my eyes. Players need to perform or move on.

I understand it may not be the best working environment and all that jazz but we have put up with this as the norm for way to long.

My last point maybe that madge is trying to find the players that can handle the intensity required to succeed in his style. hence the hectic pressure etc

1. That scumbag needs to be weeded put quick and made a fool out of.

2. Even tho it pains me to say it, the Roosters are a successful (and in my mind cheating) franchise, so why would the NRL force them to merge with anyone, they don't need to. We might be a big club with a supposed nursery, but highly unsuccessful and therefore easy to pick on.

Not claiming roosters merge simply stating that the talent could be spread more equally, enabling additional teams in the Comp.

I wish it more evenly spread too mate. Big imbalance in the competition and no one seems too worried other than battler teams like us.

I often wonder how much money it costs the game to have 2-5 powerful clubs, surely if the other 10 clubs got a fair go you’d have more memberships, more eyes on TV sets, bigger crowds, merchandise sales. Seems like an opportunity to me.

You're right - but its never going to happen - the only way is through a draft and the NRL are too scared to take on the RLPA and Politis. As long as the NRL remains powerless against these types the status quo will remain.

What did they say?

Apparently Madge asked the players if they had a problem, “apparently” to a man they all said they feel like they’re constantly on egg shells, for fear of being dropped.

Welcome to the big time boys, where you lose if you aren’t up to standard! Professional sport wasn’t meant to be easy.

They also said the Tigers roster is very thin and proof NRL can’t sustain a 17th team. No mention of Rorters depth.

Then wrapped Penrith for their development of players, "**without acknowledging the a Tigers constantly getting pillaged".**

Ahhhh rugby league agendas ?

Tigers have let a lot of good players go as well, not all were Pillaged.

Our roster is fairly stable and 2 years into his tenure, Madge seemingly does not know his players skillsets or his best side.

Don't totally agree. I understand the stability discussion, however the ones that have been around the most are the ones getting dropped.
Your lucys, eisenhuth, twals, aloais, nofo, ads, grant have all been decent and have avoided being dropped.
Its our regular problems that are the ones being rotated. Your packers, benjis, reynolds brooks, jennings, chee kams, ganrners etc.

In my view the players getting dropped are all bloody inconsistent and dont deserve stability

Excerpt from the article:

*The news surrounding Marshall comes as the Tigers players find themselves at loggerheads with Maguire, according to senior reporter James Hooper.*

*“Apparently there was a really heated team meeting at Concord today where Michael Maguire, the way he likes to do business was being very direct and blunt," he said on NRL 360.*

*“I think a couple of the players said: ‘Madge, it’s not working. The way we’re doing things is not working.’*

*“He said: ‘what’s not working, what’s the issue?’ And they all said 'we’re walking on eggshells'. We’ve seen so many players axed of the course of the season.*

*“They ended up having words. As a result, I don’t know what the Tigers team will look...but I’m predicting – knowing how Madge has done business this year – he’ll probably make some more changes.”*

I like to think he knows exactly what these guys can do and he's challenged them to get better. They couldn't do it so now they're on notice but can't handle the pressure.

Throwing toys out of the cot because they've realised their fate.

Just a thought

Can’t repeat what Paul Kent said about the Bronco’s players, but he is right. What a bunch of.....

@hobbo1 close but no cigar. Something to do with the groin area and then something todo with the top of your body.
