He has got to be kidding!! Give some up and comers a go - not two rep veterans!

Gidley must have some sort of agreement with the NRL that he gets every rep jersey available regardless of merit!!

Ennis only got the nod by default when front-runners Pritchard & Eastwood pulled out!

Agreed, how Gidley keeps being picked in rep teams is a mystery.
 
NRL All Stars team is very strong. I don't know who they should bring in for Ellis, they already have SKD on the bench, along with Gidley, so no real need for Lote or Lawrence, but they also have Smith/Ennis, so no need for Farah (the other top 4 Tigers in the nomination phase), I guess I'd go with Heighington.

jokes apart i would be happy with either gibbs or heighno or any tigers player really.
 
You cant tell me the players get that excited about this game. Just like last year quite a number are starting to pull out.

Its very silly to play a rep game before the players are battle hardened.

If we lost Benji or Ellis our chances take a big dive.
 
Fulton Replaces Ellis In All Stars

Wests Tigers forward Liam Fulton has today been named in the NRL All Stars team for the second Harvey Norman Rugby League All Stars match, to be played on February 12, at Skilled Park on the Gold Coast.

Fulton replaces team-mate Gareth Ellis, who has been ruled out of the match with a groin injury.

“It is disappointing for Gareth to be ruled out but I will make the most of my opportunity,” Fulton said today.

“The All Stars game was a great spectacle last season and I am really looking forward to playing alongside some of these elite players under coach Wayne Bennett. I’m very excited.”

The ‘Learn. Earn. Legend!’ Indigenous All Stars will name a replacement for injured Test forward Sam Thaiday later this week.
