NRL Broadcast Rights

Looks like he got his Deal $5bn, wonder how that will change the cap.
The players have it written in the CBA that they are distributed 37% of the TV deal - this is supposed to cover more than salaries. things like insurance, NRLW, wellbeing and education, retirement funds etc.

It's up to the RLPA to negotiate that, but 15m to 20m would be about right for that sort of deal. Anything less would look a bit stingy.

Wouldn’t mind betting that the nrlw cap will rise far greater than the men’s. Definitely should get them able to train without having to worry about work outside of football

New new broadcast deal is great news for 'Native' Wests Tigers fans and also for our Suburban Grounds.

My prediction is all that increased broadcast revenue, and the NRL grant, is going to have the same effect as all that growth had for the EPL after 2010. Corporate hospitality isn't going to be the main competitive edge as it is now. It will be important but it won't be the MAIN revenue stream that drives a clubs cash flow and success.

Arsenal built their new stadium planning on financially dominating all of football in Europe, and although it worked out as planned, - (doubled their match day revenue) it turned out all the prawn sandwiches in the world didn't change as much as originally imagined once the likes of Bournemouth and Burnley could get 120 million pounds a season from broadcasting deals.
