what about a combination of both. the bottom four overall based teams get replaced by the top 4 overall based teams in the league below. and so on and so on. i think that could work

Why not just play the tele one…..instead of waiting for it to improved there is already an improved one right there.

With better prize money and a better setup???

PS.........most tackles equals more points.

4 tackles is the same asa try........ridiculous.

What are the benefits of Tele …. Is that Super coach???

Can you place the rules of the comp eg scoring here to facilitate discusion

The scoring system allows fora more diverse choice of players.

15 points for a try…..ten for an assist......etc etc.

You can buy players for their defense or attack.

Ive been playing both for years and this is by far the best.

If you want to , join both as i have done for the past 3 years .

Ok fine ….stick with it for next year...We have already discussed the flaws in the poll..

We will also keep a record of overall placings and if peaple want to join and pit themselves against the best they can and we can call it for what of a better term for now ---SUPER LEAGUE.....

As tigerpies1 points out.....Each person can start 3 leagues....Many members were part of more than 1 comp last year...

I have been doing this too,but Its too much work doing the two properly.

I would love all the tiger fans to go into the best comp and not waste their time playing an inferior one.

I really enjoyed being in the tigers comp last year, but spent little time on it as I was sooooo into the tele one.

I urge everyone who was in last years comp to have a look at it…...abd hopefully go in it next year.

Choice seems simple to me but.......

I am only one voice, but the Daily Telegraph Supercoach, as simon says  is great fun, and had options for interchange of positions etc, plus I think a better points system.

If it means anything, I'll play along with whatever system that's chosen, BUT I'd much prefer simon's choice.

i reckon there will be a big improvement in dream team next year too, and we will be able to find out the changes in jan/feb

Based on what???

The tele one is already far superior, more fun,has better prizemoney and allows for more diversity in picking your team.

No offence but ur talking out yer arse if you think the NRL may be better when it is clearly not.

Instead of just yapping on about NRL….go and have a look at the tele one,it craps on the NRL.

Does yer mum work for the NRL website or your cousin or something???

Simon says you are bang on T1…...as always.

lone scout said there will be improvements in dream team next year. i am not sure what changes will be made but i will probably find out around january

I have always gone in both well actually i was in 4 different NRL fantasy leagues last year.IMO dreamteam is better than supercoach but i still enjoy playing it.I dont get what simonthetiger say by supercoach "allows for more diversity in picking your team."????????????

A question….it seems obvious to me.

But if I havent answered it already I will again.

IMO.....in NRL you are basically looking for blokes that make mega tackles and hit ups as they are overscored compared to other playes like tries/goals/line breaks etc.

The backs are basically worthless(outside esp) and you are looking for forwards(no matter how rubbish they are) who you can play in the backline,ie Beau Scott,Ben Smith etc.

In the tele one...you get 15 points for a try,and big points for line breaks, assists etc so players that are virtually wortless in nrl like Uate,Folau,Morris etc are just as good as ur forward types,if not better.

Henceforth, instead of watching games hoping ur players make a tackle or a 2m hitup....boooooooooring,you are actually watching blokes in the hope they make big plays, like tries yay.....hence excitement.

This is the points scoring for the nrl one…...seriously low for attackin plays and overscored on kick metres.

Compare the scoring sytem to this one,you can go for tacklers, attacking players or a bit of both, hence the diversity of the team you can pick.

Trys 15 Points
Try Assists 10 Points
Goals 4 Points
Missed Goals -2 Points
Field Goals 5 Points
Missed Field Goals -1 Point
Tackles 1 Point
Missed Tackles -1 Point

the new scoring system for dream team will be out around jan/feb so compare then

in my side i had hayne and michael gordon in the backline as wingers, carney fullback, campese five eighth, soward halfback. so i didnt just select tackling machines. alot of people do select second rowers as their centres though (i had beau scott, ben smith, mitch aubusson during the season but they have actually played centre too) but lonescout did say that tries could be worth more than 4 points next year in dream team. time will tell

Sure time will tell, but I dont understand the loyalty.

Its obvious that there is more diversity with the scoring of the tele one to the nrl one, they need to do more than increase tries to catch up.

IMO we should go for the best one,if thats the NRL one then Im in,but its leagues behind the tele in so many ways, not forgetting the prizes which are WAY better.

PS…...you couldnt win the NRL without it being stacked with forwards in the backs.Thats its greatest weakness.

This is getting eerie… 😱pen_mouth:
