NRL Finals 2022 - Spoilers

Gold Member's Restaurant is a mere $249 per person for three courses and 2.5 hours of drinks (beer & wine only). Meanwhile you are seated near the escalators on level 4 and cannot see the ground. Yeah, nah.
No great seats great dinner good company

Interesting stat in relatio to the nswrl

The only club to win the same three competitions in the same season in the 57 years since all competitions have been running together (NSW Cup 1908; Jersey Flegg Cup 1961; SG Ball Cup 1965) is Balmain Tigers in 1982.

If Penrith win Sunday they break Balmain Tigers record of 4 competitions won in same year

In the total history 1908 2021
Balmain Tigers 11 premierships Wests Magpies 4 and Wests Tigers 1
Total 16 .
I know souths clearly way out in front and dragons 11 in a row
But are any other clubs apart from souths beat our 16 ?
Whatever still a proud history

Not too many teams can do that now. Less than half the comp

The Tigers loathing of South’s goes back to around 1908 when both teams agreed to not play the GF but South’s did the dirty, showed up and won by forfeit !
Wow 114 year old grudge .Weve had wars that were more recent .
Tigers first ever game beat Magpies 22-0 .Maybe explains some of the joint venture difficulty ? LOL joke

I will be interested in Panthers ( nsw cup ) vs Devils ( Qld cup) play off on Sunday in their respective grand finals 2 players among many stood out Panthers fullback
Isaiah Longi and Devils center Jacob Gagan .Wonder if they have Nrl contracts for next year ?

The most predictable part of grand final week will be the announcement of the NRL’s golden boy Ashley Klein as the referee for Sunday night. Was this ever in doubt?

And just for the record, Penrith has an 85.7 percent win record under Klein in the last three seasons. Over the same period the Eels have a 62.5 percent win record. (Buzz)
So the team that barely loses games has a higher win record than a team who loses games more frequently. Colour me shocked!

Don't Panthers have close to 90% win record in the last 3 seasons anyway?

On that note, just read that Cleary has lost 3 games in last 2 years when playing for Panthers. One of them was when he got sent off against the Eels this year. Crazy.

Klein struggles with big calls but I feel he's able to manage the speed very well. Still there's an issue if he's the best we have.
Yeah the stat literally means nothing

You reckon we see Daine Laurie out in the streets of Penrith again this Sunday?

I'll never forget how farcical that was.

I'm gonna go Penrith winning 10-4 with Kikau FTS.

I think this game will finally push me to "not hating" Eels and Penrith.

Starting to enjoy watching Moses as a player. Hope he doesn't choke, maybe...
