Rabbitohs star Latrell Mitchell is facing a suspension of between six and nine matches after being charged with a grade two reckless tackle on Roosters centre Joey Manu.

He should get longer and he should get charged for assault.

Well, Trell's judiciary record just grows and grows.
If his attitude doesn't change, he'll put himself out of the game.

They'll have to rub him out of the game if this continues. It's wrong.

Mtitchell, a good example example for kids playing footy? No way. If V'Landy's is true to his plan Mitchell will cop plenty.

They'll have to seriously think about it if he keeps it up. The suspensions aren't changing the way he plays. They have a duty to protect the players within the rules of the game and if they know from his history that this flog is just going to go out and cheap shot people in the head outside of the rules then the NRL will have to start to worry about their own liability for his actions.

I couldn't believe that hit by Latrell. He is a special player. I think he is better than Tedesco. He is close to Tommy Turbo.

He is also a dog of a player and I'd wipe him out a lot longer than 4 weeks.

I remember as a kid players would get belted. He deserved to get belted.

Someday, someone will turn on him and land a couple right on his chin. He won't know what the hell happened. There's not many I'd take pleasure in seeing being knocked out, but he's possibly one.

That's the trouble these cheap shot merchants know the trouble there going to get is with the judiciary if they pick it up.If someone had put one on his chin a couple of years ago might very well be a different player today.

A broken jaw can take months to recover from and in the early stagesno solid food can be taken food has to be taken. Food is taken via a straw.

The NRL seriously cannot allow Latrell Mitchell to play again this year. It was both reckless and deliberate. Can’t believe he got only 10 minutes. It’s a disgrace.

I think 6 weeks is fair looking at the incident in isolation, but not sure why he didn't get more as he'd have a lot of loadings.

Deserved. Should have been min 8 weeks tho. Wiping manu out for the finals is a shame but it is the roosters so.....

I have noticed that Mitchell is the face of a covid 19 vax ad..

"Im going to take the vax to keep me and my family safe""

He should get vaxed against the stupidity and danger he constantly oozes so other people can be safe from him....cant stand the bloke.and not because of his heritage or playing ability, but because he THINKS he is above everyone else and he is an icon that all and sundry just love....

Joey L got four weeks for a slap, and the player jumped up in two seconds laughing. The media made it out to be the biggest dog act in recent memory. Now Mitchell will get 6 weeks for causing a serious facial injury and has a rap sheet a mile long. The NRL have zero idea, incidents like Trells should be a minimum of 10 weeks and some extra for form

Loved the press conference from Robbo. If anyone knows a good hypnotist who can reprogram me as a Roosters fan please let me know.

He's good eh?
But he exaggerated a bit last night... Understandably

Yeh he went on but he named and shamed a serial offender, very well deserved for Henry

The presser was great but TR's frustration in a season being impacted by injuries and suspensions to a list of players most clubs could only dream about - yeah no sympathy there.

The political stance taken by Latrell is irrelevant to his onfield conduct. The type of person he is, is also totally separate to discussions surrounding racism.
No offence but who is bringing race into the conversation but a few of you?
The memes about the anthem protesting and even applying it to this incident (possibly to open further debate of it or ridicule it) is actually a form of marginalisation, and it's honestly disappointing to see it on a footy forum.
I can absolutely agree with everyone's disapproval of his behaviour as an NRL player and that he deserves harsh punishment for his beahviour. But some of the ignorance on here is appalling - especially if it resorts to jokes about something that is such a serious topic.

Will Robbo receive a bigger punishment from the NRL for stating the obvious than Latrine and Perenara combined? Will Garner look like the Elephant Man / a Burgess brother by the end of his career? At what stage does serial head smashing become a criminal offence?

a few people commented on a bad on-field records of some of our potential targets (e.g. J W-H, Pangai), but how lucky we were not to sign Fatrell? He would be either injured or serving long term fines for his on-field antics, and we would pay mult overs $!
