I'm a fan of the new rules. Punishes bad teams and those who persist with their old, negative tactics. The bottom dwellers either need to get good or continue to get 40 put on them.

I was watching a game from 2005 just before - it's equally as fast as it is now. We have all simply become conditioned to the grind of the Melbourne Storm wrestling era (2006-2020). That's not how the game is meant to be played. I'm glad it's going more in the direction of the old days.

100% correct , 6 again wouldn’t have been required if teams essentially didn’t “cheat” , staying offside, wrestling to slow play the ball , strips etc

I still think they should just bin players for play 1 or 2 6 agains as they are done on purpose and essentially a professional foul

Refs did try penalise teams for it one year and everyone blew up and then they let all the teams cheat again.... teams are cheating the 6 agains heaps as well. Teams are intentionally offside more than ever

Yes true, but if you read many of the opinions on here last year he was the main reason for our crap performances and was well past his use by date as a player - not looking that way at Souths.

I like watching players come through the grade at the club, watching them from the juniors all the way to 1st grade. I know it is a little old fashioned but that is my view on it.

Fair enough..

But the current system doesn’t work .

Just say player X is worth $500k

But a successful/ under the table club like the Roosters can get player X for $430k
where as a basket case club has to pay player X $650k

Current system and player pool is a rort imo

Is that dragging down the good clubs to prop up the duds. Not naming anyone?

I think it is more dragging down the bad clubs to prop up the good
The best players from some of the bottom clubs get poached by the strong teams
Not mentioning the ROOSTERS
