I’m Not sure how I feel about this . On one hand, they just want to return to thier families , on the other they’re leaving their mates in the lurch . It’s hardly good for team building . Talk about not reading the room , on the Warriors management side . They would have used the “one in , all in “ mantra to get the team here , then fired the 1 bloke who held the whole thing together . The optics are horrendous

Feel for those warriors boys. Only flew over because they were promised their families would come too which hasn’t happened. Booting the coach doesn’t help morale either

The booting of the coach , is such an opposite psychological blow. Like I said , it should have been “we are here , no matter what , we rip in for the game , our families ,our team , and ourselves” which is a real galvanising thing , when you feel like you’re doing something for something bigger than yourself” . But in actuality from the owners it’s , “now you’ve saved our asset , you have to win , I don’t care about how much you’re giving up , we need wins , which means money “.
And make no mistake , thier CEO said it was the owners.
Disgusting really. Considering the Polynesian boys in that team, who don’t have the built in individuality, that western cultures breed. Like I said , talk about not reading the room . As soon as Kearney was axed , you destroyed the whole cultural fabric holding the team together .
Because money is never enough . Clearly something narcissistic billionaires don’t understand .

Did anyone else just then see the absolute contempt on Todd Paytens face , with Craig Bellamys address to Warriors players. I know Todd’s a tigers great ... but is “Todd a baddie ?

It was so noticeable, it look like he was disgusted with what Bellamy was saying.

What do you reckon Smith and Bellamy were saying? Asking them to stay in Aus?

"Look fella's, we know you are doing it tough. You've been pretty hopeless for a few seasons now....if you need a hand organising a 2nd set of books to assemble a decent squad outside of the salary cap our back door is always open. Any of you blokes want a boat?"

The players seemed so shocked and upset in their interviews after he got sacked you could tell there would be unrest and they would struggle on the field. Bad decision and really bad timing from the warriors

Mate I like your post, plenty of thought has been put into it...

It reminds me of a quote a very, very intelligent person once said....

""through civil conversation ...we can learn from each other""

Kearney is hopeless, but getting sacked with the things going against the club this year was pretty unfair. You can’t judge the Warriors this year. 2020 is a write off for them.

Even worse for warriors is that roosters recalled the young prop they sent on loan to them

When dis happen?

They said during the call last night that Easts extended his loan.

Most years are a write-off for them. And yes, us.
I think the Warriors players loved having Kearney as coach because he was soft on them and seemed happy with halfhearted performances, not just this year, it's seemed to be that way since he was appointed.
A hard-nosed, no nonsense coach is what they need to slap them into shape but I don't think that sort of coach would go down too well with the Warriors boys.

This morning apparently they called him back after two of their players did their ACL

Surely we loan then a player
Mqueen

Maybe even joseph ratu

Teams would rather play a man short than play with McQueen.

Knights playing how they should be playing, lots of average guys in that roster but O’Brian has got them going good. Cowboys just playing with more energy

Clear difference in the play the ball speed here. Cowboys being allowed to lay in the ruck a lot longer than knights
