NRL side versus Cronulla Sharks

Without Gallen and Carney this Cronulla team doesn't scare me so much.

If the Tigers temper their play and defend well, We should all be entitled to expect this trial Win.

Yeah that side is certainly beatable, trial or not. They're lacking spark in the halves and centres and aside from Fifita, the forward pack is solid enough but not scary and I reckon our pack will match it with them for sure.

Wow except for feki is there anyone who played their first NRL game as a shark?

Ayshford might be slow , but he made us look silly on Saturday during the nines and then did the same to the Titans on the Sunday

Don't really care about the result , just want to see the right attitude in defence and us taking the smart percentage options when in attack

If we manage that I'll be happy and I think the scoreboard will smile favourably on us

Ayshford's only attacking weapon is his in and away - he is great at getting outside his man and drawing the winger in, putting his outside man in space. For some reason he lost that knack last year.

He had a decent fend as well , that's why I thought he'd make it A good centre usually always has good hands and a good fend

Seems he may have found it

Aysh just didn't seem interested at all last year, now he has picked up a new lease of life as often happens.

I am also worried about our defence. I'm not sure we have enough change in the forward pack to turn things around.

That's the worst backline in the NRL by far. Grothe is old and slow, ayshford is slow, wright is slow, holdsworth and robson are slow. Surely Gardner and Leutele are better options than some of the others.

Well if that is the worst backline in the NRL then we better pray to the tiger gods that we beat them! We shouldn't be worrying about who's in their team but concentrating on our structures and more importantly our DEFENCE!! Might be a trial here but a loss to the Tiger Sharks will definitely have the alarm bells ringing :astonished:

Like others I'm not concerned about winning or losing. It'd about the attitude of the team. Looking at this sharks team I'll be shattered if they score any more then 3 tries against us. I'd rather see a 10-6 loss then a 34-28 win.

I'd expect a number of guys from the earlier games to come onto the bench. Disappointed sue isn't there, I'd heard he was killing it in all the fitness and skin fold tests during pre season. Guessing he won't be there come round 1

aysh looked quite a lot better in 9s, i think he might be able to play well for a couple more years. a fresh start and new team could really help him along.
