NRL SIGNINGS AND RUMOURS THREAD 2010 - 2011 SEASONS

ive heard huge wraps on the younger picker.

He (it is Michael - while his brother Joe is a semi-regular first grade back rower) got done for serioius DUI in Gunning - after having a major single-vehicle crash (rolled-car) in September 2010 and blowing 0.209!

He badly needs to prove himself to Furner as both a bloke & player in 2011!

He is also a genuine 5/8th - playing there in the same NYC team as Dugan, Croker, Thompson etc)!

McCrone's genuine speed may be a good foil for Orford if Picker cannot get up to speed!

This is interesting for Raiders. If the Orford/Mcrone/Picker combo gels up nice and they start winning games, will they break the combo and shove Campo in or keep going with the combo?

If they actually go really crap, and are out of the premiership race, then risk an early entrance for Campese??

Either way I reckon this season is wasted for Campese and I for one is very glad about it.

That is an excellent read of the situation TP - however I cannot see the Raiders rushing back Campo regardless of results as he remains a long-term investment for the club & (like us with Moltz) they will not want to risk further long-term loss of that investment (given they will also have Orford for 2012 - and want to see them combined)!!

They'll put Campese to Lock… Great buy for Canberra... He's the old head the side needs...

I doubt it!!

McCrone & Mick Picker still need to prove themselves (Picker is yet to taste 1st Grade & McCrone has only 30 games to his name)!

They are long-term prospects - while the Raiders see the Orford-Campese combo possibly winning them the comp in 2012 (if not this year)!

2012 ??? - Heard on News this arvo that its a 1 year deal/

He had two years remaining of a three-year deal at Bradford!! And you don't give up a year for nothing when you are already 32!!

News was wrong - it will be for two (with a possible third year option)!

I know that is what the Raiders also want!

And they are still after another three-quarter to replace Monaghan for 2011!

That's good I wondered who the Raiders where going to replace the Dog whisperer with….the OX...

Knew he'd gone but was unaware disciplinary reasons were behind the decision!

Well as far as I know he just decided to go back home..Shame as a centre he had potential..but he had a few in front of him…

Wests Tigers

IN:

Evander Waitoa, 18, halfback (Wellington)
As fresh as they come, Waitoa has been plucked straight of Wainuiomata High School, a district of New Zealand with a proud rugby league history. Named the NZ Secondary Schools Player of the Year for 2010.

Jacob Miller, 18, halfback (Sydney Roosters):
A promising No.7 who may have to cut his teeth in Toyota Cup if Tim Moltzen is fit and Robert Lui beats an assault charge. Miller has been touted for his athleticism but also has question marks over his attitude.

Marika Koroibete, 18, wing (Fiji):
A speedy winger with touted defensive ability, Koroibete graduated to the Fiji national side while still at high school. Likened to compatriot Akuila Uate, he was sought after by the Knights before being lured to the Tigers.

Mosese Fotuaika, 18, prop (Keebra Park):
Another schoolboy product, Fotuaika joins the Tigers from Keebra Park, Queensland - one of the most dominant rugby league high schools of recent years. By all reports he is a barnstorming front-rower with a taste for try scoring.

Ratu Tagive, 18, wing (Canterbury-Bankstown):
Brother of former Tigers winger Peni, Tagive has a reputation as a speedy outside back who is safe under the high ball. The 18-year-old was part of the Bulldogs' Toyota Cup glory run in 2010 and is tipped to heap pressure on Beau Ryan.

Teqele Nayarvovo, 19, wing (Otahuhu Leopards - New Zealand),
A giant winger from New Zealand's top provincial team, Nayarvovo stands well over six foot and carries a 100kg-plus frame. With a further year of NYC eligibility, keep an eye on him to develop through the program.

OUT: David Gower (St George Illawarra), Daniel Fitzhenry (Retired), Tame Tupou (Redcliffe).
