Did not think we needed LM standing, looking out with an aboriginal flag draped over him.

This is a football ad, not a political statement - one day they will get it right.

Cam as a kid ....didn't need it.

It’s his flag representing his people. Bet you wouldn’t have an issue if Liddle was there draped in the Australian flag.

Wouldn't have a problem if it was an ad for the Indigenous game... but it's not.
Didn't notice Alex Twal with the Lebanese flag did you... or all the Polys with their flags?

No I didn’t, but I wouldn’t have minded if they did.

Don’t bother arguing with the boomers. They’re upset over a flag the poor things. Apparently people aren’t allowed to be proud of their culture.

Nobody said there is anything wrong with people being proud of their culture or their sexuality... just that this wasn’t the place for it to be paraded.
Apparently the nappy generation don’t get it.

The only culture you can't be proud of is white culture :joy:

I don't think it's a "boomer" thing. The fact it has people arguing about these issues shows that it's too political in the first place.

In fairness, I can't see the relevance of someones sexual preference or culture to the talent they have in the game. Can't we watch the spectacle rather than have politics shoved down our throat all the time...I just think people want a place they can go to get away from all the different opinions and just be brought together by something they have in common - the great game of Rugby League.

I'm not having a shot at you...it's an overall observation. I've just quoted your post for relevance.

It’s definitely a boomer thing. How is showing Latrell mitchell (an NRL player) holding an indigenous flag (a massive part of the NRL) or the two NRL PLAYERS kissing political at all. These were big moments from last years game and will be a big part of this years game, the NRL promoting the fact that EVERYONE can enjoy the game is far from a ‘political point’.

People shouldn’t be so upset over an advertisement. End of the day everything in it was relevant to the NRL. Funny how the generation that seem to think everyone else are sensitive and snowflakes can’t even handle a flag in an ad.

The only thing I didn’t like about the ad was them shoving Cam Smith down our throats games biggest grub 😂

I guess we just never had it rammed down our throats at school, so we aren't as brainwashed by it all.

If you think kissing a woman on TV is a "big moment" in rugby league, then you should go and watch a few more games. Honestly, this would be at the bottom of the pile of great things in Rugby League.

The NRL don't care what you think. They care what you spend.

They probably think they can gain more than they can lose with the ad and don't give a toss about the issues.

Gay inclusiveness is a current political issue and is pushed by woke activists. It is very political that it's in there.

I don't know what her personal relationship has anything to do with the wider NRL.

The NRL does plenty for inclusiveness...this is an ad to showcase the game, not to show how liberal you are. Show me the sport, not everything else around it.

Many footballers pray yet there is no footage. Guess it is not the squeeky wheel.
Btw I'm not religious

Shoulda had Payne Haas at the mosque praying on his prayer mat then him tying his shoelaces and smashing people on the field.

I notice Brigginshaw walking down the street for 2 seconds which is about how much time I've ever spent thinking about women's NRL.

Plot twist at the end the next CAMERON Smith is gonna be female hey?
Maybe that'll be his wife getting a ring .....for being his wife.

Weren't the two ladies kissing in different teams? To me being that close to a person on the opposition team is the concern. I thought it was a bit off when Brooks was still living with Moses for a time after Moses left our club. But I'm not the coach, and if the coach doesnt care, then all good.

I'd rather see players (both men and women) putting on big hits, scoring spectacular tries, maybe helping up an opponent after tackling them over the sideline. Now that would be highlights.

It didnt show Turdberg giving Smiths wife the 15k diamond ring. That will always go down as one of the dumbest decisions made by a sporting body

Michael Jennings (Penrith player):
"I hate Parramatta"

This is how it should be.
OG rivalries.

Imagine that tackle, running full pelt at your ex and them lining you up to smash you. The impact could be Harragan/Spud like. That'd be good in an ad.

By your logic, Falou and his comments have no place considering the arguments that he causes. Be consistent.

So much irony. All the complainers were the same people patting Folau on the back. Politics was fine then. Says a lot doesn’t it.
