Clear out the losers of the years past - Hayne, Dugan, Pearce, Morris, etc.

Gronks like Teddy and Hayne aren't team players.

Woods & Fifita, soft and over rated.

The above team is competitive, dynamic and strong with longevity with years to come.

Bench is insanely strong and better than QLD's 2017 bench.

Oh well everyone else is doing it so…

1\. James Tedesco
2\. Tom Trbojevic
3\. Jack Bird
4\. Josh Dugan (if he's playing centre at the Sharks)
5\. Josh Mansour
6\. James Maloney
7\. Nathan Cleary
8\. Jake Trbojevic
9\. Nathan Peats
10\. David Klemmer
11\. Boyd Cordner
12\. Angus Crichton
13\. Nathan Brown

14\. Andrew Fifita
15\. Paul Vaughn
16\. Tyson Frizell
17\. Wade Graham

Based on his performance last night would you put Cleary at halfback for game 1? This is of course assuming that there aren't any other stand outs.

He's only 19 but, NSW is desperate for the next generation. Laurie Daley was very strong in his stance of not picking players before they're ready or old enough so, with a new coach next year maybe Cleary is more of a contender for the halfback spot.

Cleary to me looks like NSW's best option.

I'll pick a team:-

1\. Tom Trbojevic
2\. Josh Mansour
3\. Jack Bird
4\. James Roberts
5\. Brett Morris
6\. Clint Gutherson
7\. Nathan Cleary

8\. Paul Vaughn
9\. Robbie Farah
10\. David Klemmer
11\. Tyson Frizell
12\. Josh Jackson
13\. Jake Trbojevic

14\. Shannon Boyd
15\. Reagan Campbell-Gillard
16\. Jack De Bellin
17\. Angus Crichton

As demps states we need to get rid of hog players like Tedesco and Hayne. Fifita and Woods aren't the players that we need in the forwards. Fifita is unlucky to miss out because he can be a weapon but we need consistency and he doesn't offer that. Woods is a dud. Cordner is unlucky as well but he didn't perform well enough. Jackson to play at the start and then let Crichton come on.

The spine is the tough area. Cleary is too young but he is quality. Robbie gets the spot based on being the best option but we need a younger more explosive hooker. Robbie though can create something out there. Gutherson, Maloney or Moylan are the options at 6\. I figure give it to Gutherson but any of the other options are okay.

There are so few players that we can build a good team around. Queensland have heaps of them. Cleary and the two Trbojevic brothers should get spots as should Crichton.

I wouldnt be sacking Cordner Earl. He may not have been brilliant this series but he is quality and will bounce back. He is a bloke to build the side around as is the likes of the Turbo brothers, Frizell, Graham etc…

Agreed Stryker, but not Graham - I don't think he is up to it, tbh. Angus Crichton is a must next year and I would put De Belin on the bench.

Hayne, Ferguson, Morris (already retired I believe), Pearce, Woods, Fifita, Peats & Graham all need to go.

Too much of a stick there.

Pearce needs to go. We say it every year, no creativity, pressure piles up and he….. Does not very much.
It says a lot that he has been working closely with JT, great athleticism, but no real game reading, tactics or pushing the team up.

Graham and Woods need to be dropped. Everyone was screaming for Paul Vaughan and for good reason. NSW made the right decision keeping the original 17 too game 2, but not game 3\. Nothing changed and I don't understand why.

Peats is a fringe Nr9... Probably the best Nr9 there is for NSW unless you can persuade someone else. Maybe he should have been dropped for Farah, but there were good reasons not to pick Farah. The main one being that they needed a hooker to get good ball to Pearce.... Who does frigging nothing with it.

That leaves Hayne, Ferguson and Fifita. Hayne had something wrong this series. His heart and his fitness was not in it. He kept talking about falling flat and I have been hearing that he isn't training hard... I suspect that the NFL experience has sapped his energy. Ferguson ??

Fifita I think have to be picked. Fifita is a variable player. Talking Supercoach terms he varies from 60-120, but because of that he has to be marked and will be dangerous. Anyone who says Dugan shouldn't be picked isn't watching. Dugan was a solid center for us and we need to let our heroes develop.
