NSW Blues 2018

NSW need to find another hooker. Peats offers no threat from dummy half which makes it much easier for QLD defence.

Robbie should have been picked. It was a massive mistake. Robbie though isn't the same player that he once was. Is he the right person next season ? He can't be there for long.

I think NSW only has to change one thing. Stryker and others have hit the nail on the head that the team is generally pretty right, just lacking application and attitude.

I dont know about anyone else, but I grew up watching Origin from day one, and I HATE Queensland. HATE so bad that I want to seriously injure any players wearing that jersey and wipe their smug smiles off their faces. I was well over the myth that Queensland are the best and they love footy more etc. WHY CANT OUR PLAYERS HAVE THE SAME ATTITUDE AS ME?

With their talent and that HATE attitude, they wont be beaten, simple. For some reason, to the players it is just another tough footy game where they test themselves. You know what, its not about you as a player. Its about your state, and going to war because you hate the maroon wearing ass clowns up north.

Now I live in Queensland and people here are the same as in NSW where I spent the first 40 years of my life, but the contempt they have always shown us is why they win. They hate us and they hate NSW football wise. I dont hate the guy walking the street, but if you put that jersey on and are prepared to take the field and fight us, I WANT TO KILL YOU!!!

The management and especially the coach need to move away from this feel good, politically correct BS. WE HATE THEM. The only thing Gallen was good for was his anger. Trouble is, I cant stand him as a player and no one went with him attitude wise. If they all took Gallens attitude into a game, we'd thrash them. Change the culture to one of hate, use the hate to drive your playing style with controlled aggression, and we will never be beaten again.

That's why I tell my kids to say no to drugs.

From my observation over the 3 games - NSW will not win a SERIES whilst ever Smith and Cronk are playing. Slater is also the superior fullback in the comp - still - but Boyd would do a good enough job if Slater wasn't there.
NSW will not win a series without a halfback to compare with Cronk - and there are none. The outstanding half backs in the NRL are all Queenslanders.

Do you think the selectors were on drugs not picking Robbie ? You might be onto something there.

For the record I don't preach saying no to drugs to my kids. I teach them to be careful and I explain to them which drugs are the safest and which ones aren't the safest. I also tell them that their brains are still developing at 5 and they should probably hold off on taking too much of daddy's stuff until they are a little older. I do give them a little past 5 though.

The facts put alcohol much higher on the list of unsafe drugs compared to others that people get all riled up about.

GCT - are you serious ? Tedesco had plenty of chances. He just wasn't very good. Slater was great. This series has shown the difference between these two players. I thought Tedesco was the best fullback in the game. This season he has been a long way off that level.

Tedesco is the best player in NRL history. He never has a bad game, it's always someone else's fault, the team he's in making him look bad.

Personnel wise NSW are good. They could use specialist centres, a controlling half and mobile front rowers but seriously that squad was good enough to win the series.
**Attitude and application is another story though**…

Ain't that the truth.
Maybe they thought, **that they had already won the game** in their heads, before actually running onto the field and competing..

Good call. I started reading this and thought what the ???

I'm not ugly. It's just that everyone around me is really good looking.

The blues need an angry coach and passionate footy minded offsiders. Id get Tooves back from England and give him Joey and Freddy as assistants.
QLD are beatable even with their full side. They have weaknesses which when identified have been exploited. However they have brilliant football minded players that can adapt and implement plan B or even C whilst on the run. NSW can only perform plan A at this stage and its good for 1 win per series.

I'd go with
1 Tedesco
2 Mansour
3 Bird
4 Roberts
5 T Trboojevic
6 Moyland
7 Maloney
8 Tamou
9 Peats
10 Frizzel
11J Trbojevic
12 Corner
13 Merrin

14Klemmer
15Vaughan
16Graham
17Gutherson
