NSW Blues Origin 11..

Looks like they want to learn the hard way.

They are too stubborn to admit they got the selections wrong game one .
To save face they dig bigger hole game two.

I cant have any pride in backing my state when the coach and selectors dont even pick a team worthy to win

I actually thought Daley was a good choice as coach. How wrong can someone be?
What an uninspiring team.

What in the world made you think that???
I mean the guy was heavily involved in QLD's decade of dominance and has been an aweful coach in previous series. Even the one they fluked was uninspiring and dull play. He is a dud.

I'm forever the optimist, i tell myself, but actually just a poor judge.lol

I think Daley has done a good thing here. It would be pretty big call to put the burden of winning on any replacements (as the public would expect them to be the difference).

This team needs to level out the loss of the first game on home soil. They caused it, they need to be responsible for the series loss or righting the ship. Not new guys.

If they lose though and Daley doesn't pick Teddy for Game 3, he should be fired on the spot.

Is it only me who is losing interest in SOO? Not because of the team selections but it's not like it used to be anymore…just don't find it particularly exciting anymore. Standard seems much lower than earlier years.

I think the standard from the QLD team is as high as it has ever been. They are just phenomenal.

The origin aura of personalities like Lockyer, Johns, Fittler, Tallis is gone and those from before that time like Benny, Daley, Langer, Mal feel like a distant memory. Anything before that is just ancient history now (including the early 80's days of Wally and Beetson).

But I haven't lost interest. Yes, it hasn't been an even contest for years, but that is because QLD are just so damn incredible. We are witnessing something unprecedented. Something we can tell our grandchildren about. The longevity and dominance of this QLD team would have to be up there with the greatest league teams ever assembled (you could make a case that even the Invincibles were less star-studded).

Not selecting Teddy is a truly terrible call and if anything the sheer dumbness makes me want to boycott watching the next origin. But that just shows how passionate I am about it. So No, I haven't lost interest. There may be some fizzer matches but Origin is still the premier league stage and a wonderful spectacle. Go the Blues.

Please fall off a cliff Bob Fulton, dead set flog who hasn't got anything right in the past 15 years.

Maybe we need to get the cement truck that Fulton wanted to drop a load on Harrigan all those years ago

Anyway come game three after yet another series loss we should see Bird,Teddy and Cartwright all making their debut at state of O and hopefully a few others

Doubt if Teddy would get any benefit out of playing in Origin 2.

Apart from getting picked and if he wasn't injured.

Better starting afresh with a new team next year - hopefully without Daly as coach and a half decent team. Then he can show them what he has.

It's not only you. I'm losing interest too. Qld have been a great side, but not so much these days. The quality of the attack from both sides in Origin 1 was pretty poor and overall the match was dull.

I feel the same in a sence… The Refereeing has taken away from SOO over the past 3-4 years. Years gone by the officials have little influence on outcomes and the best team usually won the series.

I'd suggest there is a mantra the last few years where the officials were trying to keep both teams competitive, and it has spoiled the spectacle somewhat. I'd prefer to see the whistle put away in SOO and let the players sort it out.

If SOO2 is controlled anything like Game 1 this year, I might start the SOO is Dead Banner!

Wasn't there only a penalty goal difference in the first match ?,i only saw the last twenty but the NSW attack had nothing by that stage and the ref seemed reluctant to give penalties within goal kicking range for the Blues to equalize.NSW will always be in trouble while Daley and Bozo are at the helm,if you want more evidence look at Manly.

I don't get the selection of Ferguson and Jennings. Both are fragile, lazy, opportunists. Disgraceful.

Fulton has overseen the demise of both NSW and Australia.
Time to give someone else the reins, Bozo.

Who cares, in all seriousness? I resent that he is, no doubt, paid big bucks despite the lack of success of NSW of late, but SOO needs to take its place BEHIND the week-in, week-out NRL competition. SOO gets way much more prominence than it deserves. It is nothing more than an overhyped cash-cow for the ARL. Nothing more than that.
