NSW Blues Origin 11..

Time for Sirro to make his debut for NSW I reckon

Yeah we know Daley is happy to pick them from reserve grade.

I don't think Wade Graham was ever going to be the difference between the two teams, so it's not big deal.

I have and I still don't get why you would think this is hilarious. Wade Graham seems like a level headed young man and is always spoken of well by Sharks' supporters. He was at the local shop and spent time talking to some boys. I was very impressed not only by Graham but how the Sharks have turned things around.

You sound like Dean Richie. I don't find it funny for Graham personally, but the propaganda the media are using as a sympathy tool. That i find hilarious.

Good,

Nelson, where are the fact you were going to post (must have been about two weeks ago)?

I actually thought Daley was a good choice as coach. How wrong can someone be?
What an uninspiring team.

What in the world made you think that???
I mean the guy was heavily involved in QLD's decade of dominance and has been an aweful coach in previous series. Even the one they fluked was uninspiring and dull play. He is a dud.

It must've been a moment of insanity on Gall's part , to have thought that Stryker. Lol

Is it only me who is losing interest in SOO? Not because of the team selections but it's not like it used to be anymore…just don't find it particularly exciting anymore. Standard seems much lower than earlier years.

Bring back the Biff.

It's not only you. I'm losing interest too. Qld have been a great side, but not so much these days. The quality of the attack from both sides in Origin 1 was pretty poor and overall the match was dull.

Absolutely right Fibro. I found it dull and a tad boring too. Let's hope this second game is a bit more exciting. I'm sure it will be. It just has to be. 😱pen_mouth:

A field goal will be the difference in the outcome of this game.

Hey Tahger , when did field goals become worthy of 36 points

😛ray: When they are kicked from the blues 10 metre line on the 1st tackle.

I hope I am wrong but I cannot see NSW scoring many points with their SOO II team.

They didn't in game 1, so what's going to change. QLD aren't going to play that bad again either. Could easily be a repeat of game 3 last yr.

That's my fear.

League and SOO just isn't the same anymore….it really isn't the quality of it all is just crap. Not teh biffs etc but just standard of football.

Gone are the days of Siro, Elias, Jack, Renouf Langer, Mullins, daley, Stuart, Fitler, Brandy...

Who do we have now? Teddy isn't in that league. Inglis hasnt done anything in 2-3 years. Only one is Thurston I think.

Wonder how Daley feels about this ..

Any more whinging and he will surpass Ricky Stuart

Sadly, it will be an easy 2 - 0 series win for Qld, once again :frowning:

Unfortunately I think you are right Flip. Interesting to see Billy Moore on nrl360 tonight wearing. Blue shirt, trivial or a carve up.

we got to watch one of the best spines in history in lockyer, JT, slater and smith…??

now its got cronk instead of lockyer

add in players like Hayne and Burgess in 2014.

after this year/next year we'll probably have a bit of a transition period but emerging players like milford, tedesco etc. are likely to be guns

i think the difference now is the game is a lot moreinternational, so origin simply isn't the highest level of the game like it was 15-25 years ago. almost all the NRL greats of that era also played origin

these days we have the burgesses, shaun johnsons, taumololos, james graham etc. who youll only see in internationals

Tests should be the pinnacle of the sport and thanks to the Kiwis it is becoming so.

Origin is a different game which follows a certain structure.
Game 1 is a dour arm wrestle which witnesses both teams trying not to lose.
Game 2 is always an open contest as one team strives to clinch the series and the other fights to stay alive. This is always the best game.
Game 3 is a combination of games 1 & 2.

NSW will attack with everything they've got…and out wide that is fairly substantial....it won't be a flogging.

Hey Stryker

Would you be tempted to move games back to 7.30 pm starts to see what difference it would make with attack

When a NSW and Qld coach both agree on the same thing , I reckon its worth trying
